Human Cold

The following is speculative reasoning about general 'colds' experienced around early winter periods. This can also apply when exiting a warm environment and suddenly entering a much colder one.

Homeostasis is the human body's continuous attempt to maintain a stable core temperature: 37°C (98.4°F). The human 'cold' is not necessarily what it seems to be. Rapid temperature change between autumn and early winter places an extra burden on the system to maintain body temperature. The 'symptoms' of a cold manifest. The clammy, shivering, general aching and discomfort. It's not a cold, but body adaptation to rapidly changing conditions. Such 'feelings' can be confused and misinterpreted like excitement and anticipation or thirst and hunger. A glass of water might quell that feeling of hunger! Awareness of an alternative can be beneficial.

The distinction between the one and the other is not always possible unless a conscious appraisal can make a valid determination

When the temperature is too hot, body overheating is the problem. Hyperthermia.

Hypothermia - too cold. The body is unable to adapt to changing conditions.

An infection is a different concept.

Metabolism changes are not rapid, but adjustments do occur.

In a similar way, decompression sickness (the bends) is a result of a rapid reduction in external pressure between deep water and rising too fast to shallower water. Dissolved nitrogen in the blood bubbles out of solution causing extensive damage to the system. The slow dissolution of gas as the pressure increases with increasing depth is not in itself a problem, but the reverse must be controlled and is a slow process. Gradual decompression from depth to surface allows the body to release nitrogen slowly without consequence.

When at a high altitude, the rarity of oxygen in the atmosphere is dangerous. The human system has a finite range of conditions within which survival can be maintained. The combination of low oxygen levels (and pressure) and temperature has a serious effect on the human system. Too extreme and death will supervene. At moderate altitudes, acclimatisation is necessary for adaptation to the environment.

Even a moderate change in atmospheric temperature (up or down) has consequences.

300. What is awareness? An animal may not be self-aware (of itself), but it is certainly aware. It's a survival reflex.

301. There is a major difference between 'needing to know' in order to further and develop a career and 'wanting to know' for personal development. The 'need' will possibly terminate with the end of a career. The want continues throughout the entire life. The 'want' results in becoming the individual rather than the individual developing selflessly.

302. Sexual affaires must surely be perceived as a minor (short-term) gain followed by an actual long-term major loss. The imagined euphoria of lust (the dis-ease or the fulfillment of sexual desire) is not the same as stability with cautious ease. Perhaps those that are 'away players' become addicted to the adrenaline rush caused by their enforced secrecy. The illicit liaison. Or, perhaps, it is simply a matter of change, but returning to the 'stable' family unit. Doubtless, causes can originate in some being together in an unhappy relationship and there are other reasons for 'straying'. Many do find future contentment elsewhere though 'working at saving a marriage' does appear contrived. If the reason for staying together is truly reconcilable (love) and not because of any marital status achieved (wealth, position) then there should be little to do to 'save' the relationship. If it is more difficult then trust will have gone and no-end of 'working at it' is likely to achieve a result. The unhappy relationship simply becomes more strained and fragile.

305. People cannot be 'changed' by others. They can only change themselves by personal choices.

306. How does 'making' money advance the sum of human knowledge?

307. Being unable to discuss issues enables an ultimately better comprehension by preventing potential distortion by others. A full understanding is forced since queries must be answered by self. Reference to (consistent) texts keeps thoughts 'on track'. This is not celebrating the end of a successful career, but the ultimate end of a failed one, sunk by regrouping and attack.

308. The 'goal' itself is undefinable, but resides in the general heading of where thoughts guide and the direction may suddenly change under the influence of a new thought. The destination is not random, just unknowable. Consistent logic remains the guide.

309. Creativity does not operate within boundaries. A 'creative' advance can be made by exploiting knowledge and skills learned. This uses second-hand knowledge. True creativity uses new ideas and concepts and original thought. True innovation.

310. Given any scenario (emotional or physical) the mental state is natural, but do people respond and behave naturally or from what has been learned through fiction and drama?

311. Continue fatalism: balance of good with bad, the up with the down. Hedonist attitude denies balance and ends with selfishness and no appreciation of value. The wealthy cannot understand poverty any more than the truly poor could not understand wealth. A rich man does not need money if he has values.

312. Matter and antimatter cancel each other out so before this moment nothing is theoretically required. The issue is: nothing can be the result of something, but can something come from nothing in the first place. Or can it? Purely philosophical argument.

313. If there is a purpose to existence, it must involve learning and developing knowledge. Kepler, Da Vinci, Newton, Galileo, Einstein... The list has only a few real intellects that transformed human development. There are many more, but still relatively few in number. To have a pseudo-hedonistic existence is to waste life. Money is a man-made concept and the acquisition of more and more that is continuously worth less and less is absurd. An entire life supported by nothing more than a concept. To live out existence learning nothing is a dreadful abuse of potential. Waiting for years to die and doing nothing worthwhile. Purgatory.

314. Maturity and wisdom grow like a tree by branching out. However, if stuck within one concept it is more linear.

315. The overwhelming desire to find open space for the sufferer of claustrophobia can result in the attempts to open the doors on a plane. Sedation would benefit more than 'securing' as that would make matters much worse.

320. Whatever someone may become tomorrow, they are already someone today.

321. Sometimes destiny paths intersect briefly. Or over longer periods. But there is always a learning. Like picking up a book and flicking through the pages. A random snippet can be read that may be extremely profound and meaningful. Total chance? When the student is ready to learn the 'teacher' will appear. This can happen in many ways and being instructed can even pass unnoticed, especially if a brief meeting.

322. "I can now understand completely what I've been told, but I am not simple enough to believe any of it".

323. When the student is ready to learn, the 'teacher' will appear. The teacher may not realise what they are or what they will do, but the learning imparted is still critical for personal development.

324. That an end-point cannot be explained is not in itself enough to reject a theory. Similar to a calculation where the start and end are accepted, but where there is no intermediate workings-out. The start is known, but the method to achieve the end is unknown. This does not overturn the validity of the calculation.

325. Survival of the most ruthless.

326. Ancient beliefs can arise out of wonder. Later knowledge should explain and remove 'belief'. It doesn't always and delusion can deny the new knowledge.

327. Confusion between 'love' and 'sex'. Love involves a more emotional state than purely physical sex. Mental orgasm against physical orgasm and the potential initiation (conception) of a life-form isn't a requirement for either.

328. Lack of personal knowledge is not sufficient reason to disqualify an opinion, but obviously, an intimate awareness does better support an opinion. Even then personal knowledge does not mean that a clear and undistorted picture is described. Accuracy and delusion both play their part. Two individuals will each probably have their own descriptions as personal experience will doubtless be different. Perhaps not much, but enough to create a difference.

329. When the brain no longer needs the body it will wither and die. It's end. If intelligence does not support the body and it goes into disrepair the pairing will not survive. Feeds a need or needs to feed?

330. The lifelong activity of just 'making money' is a supreme paradox. The production of money is so unproductive. What a waste. Just to 'making money' and nothing else. Quite sad really.

Purpose For Life

If humankind were of the same level of intelligence as other species then certainly the only purpose in life can be to simply exist and survive through procreation. The paradox of the human species is to view itself as of a higher level of intelligence, yet behave at a much lower level. The furthering of human development is through knowledge and the acquisition of greater intelligence. Not the reverse.

The pursuance of sex (hedonism) and money (Wealth Creation) together make an absurd alliance. The human species cannot survive in the long term with this as a sole mind-set. The global population is too large to have any true purpose. Life must have purpose or there can be no future. Too many people seeking too little work for more and more financial return: the man-made concept of money. This is completely unsustainable. Mankind is seriously threatened with self-imposed extinction. Mankind will destroy itself and the lower levels of animal will ultimately survive. It's an apparent contradiction. A paradox.

The rate of population growth is claimed to be slowing as the death rate rises. The birth rate concomitantly declines. This is the right direction. Removing the confused ideology to acquire simply financial ‘wealth’ (artificial and illusory) rather than fostering intellectual growth may provide a future for the human species. But in order to survive, humans exploit animals for free (slave) labour and consumption. Eating the animals.

Humans eat to live and not live to eat. Doubtless this would be debated by some, but as it is, there can be only no hope, unless attitudes change and this has to be by re-education, though is already probably impossible as mankind has travelled too far along the road towards the dead-end.

A large part of the so-called advanced world has demonstrated the failure of the human species. Another (apparent) paradox: the advanced human species is completely backward going forward.

True wealth and advancement can only be through knowledge and not material symbolism.

The fatal irony is that oil and all its products as a ‘saviour’ has turned out to be the chain around the neck of humankind. The destroyer. But the oil itself has no meaning, only the human attitude. The exploitation attitude and 'making' money in the process. ‘Making’ money is nothing more than the removal of a limited concept from one towards another: Redistribution. Making money is absolute delusion.

Memory: The Illusion Of Time

The 'past' has already happened. That's self-defining. This 'past' no longer exists and could only be transient. Even transience cannot adequately define 'past'. A raindrop that hits the ground is destroyed in a 'transient' 'past' moment. So brief. Capturing on film records the event that can only be replayed, but never actually happen again. A photograph of someone who has died only records the moment when the photograph was taken. That moment has instantly gone. The person remains dead and the 'past' has gone. Forever.

The 'past' can no longer exist, but the illusion that it does is enabled by memory and even that does not exist as a tangible entity. Memory is only the impression of a 'past' event. Not the event itself. The 'past' was always 'now', but that has gone as soon as it has happened. The 'now' is the nonsensical continuous moment. As soon as the 'now' happened it moves into the illusory 'past' that doesn't exist.

A rock that was originally 'created' (came into existence) millions of years ago can only be examined as it is. Not as it was. The concept of the living rock. The rock as it is 'now'. That a rock was identical in a 'now' that has gone can only be assumption. It can never be tested or verified.

Mathematics And Numbers

Mathematics is a human invention and uses the other concept of numbers to describe the environment and its apparent physical characteristics. The fact that most things appear to work and some predictive occurrences seem to be correct supports the concept of mathematics as being an absolute and 'written in stone'. The numbers produced do not lie.

There are, however, some anomalies that have no known solution. The unit square (1 x 1) has a corner-to-corner diagonal of √2. The irrational number has no solution and theoretically has an infinite number of decimal places that progressively makes the non-solution just more and more accurate. The irresolvable problem with this is that a potentially infinite number of 'points' is constrained within boundaries. The paradox is that the problem can be visualised and easily drawn, yet the numerical answer can never be calculated. It's a philosophical issue concerning the 'virtual world' of numbers and so has no meaning in reality.

The question raised is:

"What else fails to be quantified
by using the accepted principles
of all mathematics?"

Some solutions cannot be found even in the local environment, so what confidence can there be in places that cannot be examined and can only be assumed to exist? It's almost a certainty that much in the realms of mathematics has yet to be discovered. Relationships exist that are, as yet, unknown and, perhaps, unknowable. It cannot be known if mathematics fails to enable solutions to be found and (as a consequence) will never be discovered. The path that mathematics explores may even be a dead-end. It seems to work at the moment, but...

The pyramids are thought to be more than 5000 years old. The Fibonacci relationship that mathematics uses to describe a spiral exists very visibly in the pyramid geometry. The relationship that describes the circumference of a circle is also found in the pyramid dimensions. These 'recent' discoveries post-date their appearance by some 4000 years (Fibonacci). The retrospective knowledge of $π$ (pi) does not provide evidence that such a relationship seen in a circle was then known. It is possible that some other undiscovered relationship exists that links the pyramid and the circle. The irrational number pi ( $π$ ) is still unquantifiable.

Infinity

The concept of infinity explores the limitations of human thinking. It’s a paradox. To explore infinity by introducing limits and boundaries. Mathematics and numbers are a human concept and is by definition trapped inside a box. The box can even be imagined to be of infinite size. As an example, between two boundaries defined as +1 and +2 there exists potentially an infinite number of positions, though logically the boundaries conflict against the concept of an infinite number. The unbroken circle creates the boundary for an area that contains an infinite number of points of infinitely small size within two dimensions. Wherever the starting point in the closed circle may be, this starting point could never be identified when passing through or past it. Knowing when returning to the starting point would never be possible. The sphere describes three dimensions and a larger infinity. Logically, there must be a finite number if contained within any boundary.

Infinity defines no boundary

The movement between positive and negative is deemed to pass through nothing (zero), a ‘number’ that defines nothingness. Positive moves toward negative, though passing through nothing. A non-powered object moving upwards vertically (against) gravity will slow to a stop. The object will then fall downwards under the influence of gravity (whatever may cause it). At the highest point, the velocity is zero for necessarily a finite time that is potentially measurable. That moment must be real since the direction of motion is reversed and the velocity must have reached zero.

This type of argument goes nowhere, but can appear to prove ‘something’, literally making ‘something’ out of ‘nothing’. Almost a Big Bang scenario.

Spirit

Is the spirit part of consciousness? After all, memory retains the qualities from the end of an individual's existence as their legacy to the living. This can affect behaviour and other personal characteristics. Such memories can be of animals as much or even more than of people. Animals are 'non-conditional' creatures, where the human can be judgemental and very conditional.

Habit Triggers

In the cessation of a habit, the initial trigger that works against desire comes from within. When this begins to have a lesser effect, the triggers come from without. Like smoking: once the initial desire for nicotine subsides, the entry into a smoke-filled room acts as the trigger and the desire for nicotine can rapidly escalate. The next phase is the decline of this potent trigger. The outcome is potentially the complete arrest of the habit.

This all presumes a real desire to stop smoking. Or the internal trigger is forever present. The mind-set must be the real desire to stop and not just a convenient half-hearted wish without a complete commitment. The aim to stop will inevitably fail or at least the action of smoking will just be deferred. Nicotine patches do not offer any psychological benefit. Withdrawal from nicotine addiction is not helped by supplying the drug. The physiological withdrawal can only be impaired and slowed down. The psychological withdrawal is not even addressed.

An undesirable psychological connection cannot be removed by ‘getting away’. Memories are carried around everywhere you may go, so wherever you may be you cannot just ‘get away’ by a change in location. This can however provide the benefit of removing a trigger that may be local. The long term recovery must include defusing the cause that otherwise will be with you forever. Unless this cause has gone, the problem may return at any time. A different trigger could restart issues. It’s like having a dangerous beast in the house where you live. Even locked up, it can possibly escape. If the beast is destroyed, it can never reappear.

It is the image of a psychological beast that is with you wherever you go.

Spiritual Learning

The acquisition of knowledge is more a concept and therefore isn't factual. The weight of 1kg apples is quantifiable (gravity will affect the weight of a specific mass), but how is the extent of knowledge measured? Even mathematics as a factual method of manipulating numbers is based simply on the concept of numbers. What actually is represented by 'a number'? The essence of spirituality has nothing to do with religion and is an issue that deals more with basic psychology.

A (1 x 1) square has a diagonal of approximately 1.4142 (root 2) and is an irrational number. This quantity can be easily drawn, but never defined mathematically. The same for the value л and although it is defined as the ratio of the diameter of a circle to its circumference (or the area of a circle to the square of its radius), can never be quantified: approximately 3.142 even though such a description can be pictorially described. It is the semantic difference between a drawing and a symbolic definition.

In any sense of 'proof', should the failure to define and quantify disprove the hypothesis?

Hypothesis And Theory

A hypothesis based on a concept is formulated and the theory later developed that explains the mechanism by which the hypothesis works when supportive, but not conclusive, observational evidence exists. Proof can never happen, only more results that are consistent can be observed. There comes a time, however, when hypothesis and the explanatory theory become established fact. Prediction of future observation will almost certainly convince doubters or possible skeptics that the 'established facts' are absolutely correct. The problem from here is that the accepted theory cannot be wrong. Later observed facts that cannot easily be explained based on a theory that may itself be wrong can result in small errors becoming large errors. Everything starts to fail, but the Hypothesis and Theory remain unchanged.

The Big Bang Expanded

The accepted theory can't be wrong though as this 'attacks' too many egos. It's also when hostility can start in the defense of beliefs in a theory that attempts to 'prove' a simple hypothesis. Arrogance can be anticipated from those who refuse to consider any alternative may exist that better explains all the observed facts with nothing added or taken away. If any scenario is correct then everything must fit perfectly. Theories are themselves developed from existing theories that may themselves be wrong. This just makes a poor fit worse.

The Paradoxical Scientist

Hypothesis has starting and end points. The danger is that any preconceived starting point and the consequential post-accepted absolutes of 'proven fact' cause failure. The mighty oak that does not yield to the increasing strength of winds of test will eventually collapse. The damage is complete and the later evidential proof becomes failure. But the abandonment of a 'long-standing' theory is extremely rare. The length of time that a theory has existed just strengthens belief, regardless of the integrity of argument in the light of new information. Support for a belief can be from those who simply... just believe. There will always be those who will remain in denial even after the evidence strongly suggests an alternative mechanism to an incorrect theory that supposedly explains nothing more than hypothesis, itself nothing more than conjecture.

Human thinking can be very defective, however sincere or motivated. If something is wrong, it remains wrong and mustn't be defended. That way just hinders and hides the truth from those who seek it.

200. Mathematics like statistics can tell many stories, yet all can be distortions of truth. The concept of past, present and future is fundamental to human thinking and demonstrates its limitation. Mathematicians can 'play' with numbers to produce sophisticated arguments that are meaningless. Except to other mathematicians. It's then simple to accuse anybody challenging a new theorem of ignorance because they don't understand the 'logic' used. It's like talking Martian. It can't be tested unless you understand Martian. But it doesn't exist and so is just pure nonsense.

201. The Mona Lisa: da Vinci 'masterpiece? Based on what? It's OK, but nothing special. Why is it regarded as special. What's really so good about it or is this simply that nobody dares to state the obvious? All kinds of observations are made that justify the description: that smile. Looking up at the eyes enhances the smile in the peripheral vision that looking directly at the mouth cannot be detected. This is proposed to be deliberate. Maybe.

202. Everything must have purpose. This is a similar viewpoint to that which defines the present somehow needing a future and so a past. Rather than just accepting that there just... is. Not everything needs an obvious purpose. Even life. Ecosystems have adapted (not evolved) to a symbiotic support function. Parasites can maintain the cleanliness of a host thereby supporting the continued existence of each other. Did the parasite already exist, but just adapted to become the parasite or did a new species ‘evolve’ as a necessity? Such a system may be complete, yet serve no obvious purpose. The outer gas giants in the solar system exist. Is there purpose for them being there? Man is a parasite on Earth by consuming all and returning only a body when used up. What function does the human have that the solar system should exist?

203. The application of intelligence: use it or lose it. A lack of intellectual thought will eventually return it to a more crude state that doesn't involve thinking, just 'doing' and will often manifest in violence as crime. The type of crime will be petty as this doesn't need much cerebral input. Similar to a computer that has no application to run or a car without a driver. All potential, though no real capability.

204. Self-awareness and ego are entwined. An animal cannot appreciate its own size and its absence of ego prevents it becoming a bully. That is the preserve of conscious will.

205. The brain is the hottest region within the body because of the amount of 'work' that it does, being involved with every body function all of the time during the entire life span. The body serves to ensure the survival of the brain. The brain is the parasite. The body is the exploited host.

206. Ambition illustrates self-interest. Achievement of personal goals at any cost, but does a lack of ambition manifest itself with depressed confidence? Does a predisposition to alcohol addiction interfere? Which is the driver - alcohol addiction being the result of a lack of confidence or poor confidence giving rise to a susceptibility to alcohol addiction? In any event, is there a genetic flaw and is this actually a flaw or a strength? As a strength it allows the characteristics of compassion and empathy to develop. The route through life is affected and the learning as a result is significant and these are far in excess of pure self-driven ambition. Confidence grows and it is the things we learn in our past and present that shapes the future that we can create. A lack of ambition does not suggest a lack of success. It define a different and innovative pathway. This also defines the ambitious individual as being incapable of empathy and compassion, whatever may be claimed. The empathic and compassionate individual is more likely to selflessly care about others rather than self and those apparently lacking ambition do not crave unattained achievements. They aspire to higher ideals. Offspring may appear physically similar with other similar characteristics, but each human is very unique and has its own spiritual being. Essentially, all human life is totally unique. Every composite being (physical with spiritual) has purpose and exists at a different part of the development cycle. It is not a requirement that a child is connected with the parent, this is just the mechanism for existence and provides influence. But influence doesn't need to come from the biological parent. Separation and new alliances can produce better development. The influence source is only changed. Intervention may seem desirable, but this could, in fact, manifest as interference. A learning can go both ways and the one who feels the compulsion to help may be the one actually receiving a benefit. Is the dopamine reward system linked to ambition, perceived success and well-being, essentially "addicted to ambition"?

207. Antidepressants (if they work at all) may lift the psychological effect of depression which may be a biological protection mechanism. Once this protection is removed, the 'depressed' individual is then exposed to the cause of the depression and it could be this that then leads to suicidal tendency.

208. Sharks can detect blood from a large distance. But how quickly does the detection system work and does this involve the recognition of iron or other components and does this ‘travel’ through the water? The specific molecules would need to move faster than the water in which it exists or a great deal of time would pass before any animal capable of detecting blood were to encounter it. This would suggest that some other ‘non-physical’ mechanism exists. A wave motion faster than waves?

209. The 'hidden' subliminal message in New Year celebrations is out with the old and in with the new. This encourages forgetting the gloom of failed projects and looking forward to better times. This promotes acceptance of undesirable actions to be replaced by a 'hope' for an upturn. Mistakes get forgotten to end up being repeated. Good Riddance Day works using the same crude psychology. But it's effective. This may provide a temporary boost to spirits, though it can be short-lived 'until the next time' projects again begin to fail. Like most New Year Resolutions.

210. The growth in population and growth in technology move in opposite directions. The consequence is more people and less work for this growing potential work force. Computerised and mechanised processes require an ever smaller work force.

211. The journey through life meets many X-roads. There exists a conscious choice of taking control of the direction against just being carried along to where the path leads. A destiny pathway. A destiny approach invokes the possibility of a higher spirit and may even come from within or it may exist with a different spiritual source. Taking control or being guided?

212. When an abortion takes place the mother deliberately murders her own child. The father may knowingly (and therefore actively) conspire to aid and abet in the death.

213. Looking nice or not is a perception of self by self or comment by somone else. Same as body shape: figure. Fat or thin.

214. Leads to many pharmaceutical entities are 'discovered' from naturally ocurring products. These are modified to become more aggressive, but arguably not as efficient as the natural product. More selective and potent, but less safe. The human (and other animal) population thought to have existed for thousands of millennia and without 'modern' treatments. The success rate of treatment without pills or surgery can never be accurately assessed (even if any attempt has ever been made) as the ever-growing population would skew any possible result. Symptoms are focused upon, yet underlying disease remains healthy. The paradox here is that the supposed advancement in more sophisticated chemical treatments is waging a losing battle by more victims of disease not surviving. The disease survives as only symptoms continue to be attacked. Are natural remedies safer and more efficient than modern unnatural products? The animal evolutionary process (assuming that 'accepted' premise) has managed for all those millennia and non-domesticated creatures still manage without human interference. Any financial target is notably absent in the wild and survival is very apparent notwithstanding any global cull of animals simply for the exclusive survival of the human. The drug-dependent human population is failing to survive as disease is rampant and continues to increase its stranglehold. What purpose is there for a human population? Just the growing number of a major parasite that is harvested by a sub species of that parasite for its own survival.

215. What is the purpose of life? How is success measured? What does one need to do in order to be 'successful', but whose definition: rich man or poor man? What is wealth: money in the bank or novel ideas in the mind? It is only the exploitation of an idea that can make money. It may be a physical or intellectual idea, but is still just an idea or concept. Without an idea nothing can happen. A man who has a financial fortune (from where?) may be absolutely devoid of ideas. A man rich with ideas may develop financial wealth from ideas, but the creation of the idea of an individual can never be bought by that individual as it doesn't exist until it's created in the mind. It's the (huge) difference between an Einstein and a Rockerfeller (Wealth And Power). Like the Sun and the Moon.

Within the parameters of 'known' concepts, the acceptability, some ideas are rejected as being 'outside the box'. The paradox here is the assumed clarity of Blue-Sky Thinking can actually be closed-minded 'inside the box' thinking.

238. Experimentation using animals often raises the emotions. Some people have a too-limited thinking to even care. Others are moved into supportive (of animals) action. Most probably do care, but never really examine their position on the issue. Some animals are raised and killed simply as a food resource. It's an obnoxious thought, but illustrates the self-importance of the Human over everything else. Man has dominion over the animals. Their natural products created during life (milk) are taken and then the animal itself when its usefulness to the people it has involuntarily served has expired, is summarily killed for its meat. Experimentation of drugs and products for self-adornment with a view to safety and effectiveness focuses on animals. Any activity other than survival is quite repulsive. Cannibalism is the consumption of the human species by the human species. This is regarded as taboo, yet it is acceptable to consume anything else. The idea of horse meat is not acceptable by some, possibly since horses are kept for other purposes. The 'Sport of Kings' (racing) removes horses from the feedstock in some cultures.

239. The cull of the Human as a species continues. Non-nutritional 'food' (fat) easily finds its way into the diet of many as it's very cheap: a waste product being ever-greened to yield a profit. And at the expense of those being 'fed'. The ever-growing population is consuming this non-food in its attempt at survival. The paradox is that this attempt to survive is actually the route to its demise. The human condition is drowning in the man-made concepts of money and profit. Human development is in decline even though it appears to grow. Another paradox. The human species is a paradox and an enigma at the same time. There is no purpose for the species other than to provide a base to be exploited. The parasitic human species feeds off itself in the most grotesque and cannibalistic fashion.

Galileo was placed under house arrest for opposing the Catholic Church with the contentious idea of a Sun-centred Universe (heliocentrism) system. Religion can never answer real issues that require science-based logic. The oppressive effect on the advancements of thinking has been incalculable. The inspired intellectual must never be constrained by nothing more than a belief that itself can never be explained.

245. Evolution in action? The growing population is self-controlling. Procreation of two defective genomes will ultimately result in a mutant: a hybrid genome or a single new (altered) genome. Statistically, this should increase resulting in a very long-term decline of the human population, but could result in an increase in the numbers of a different species. Mutation only implies change. The theory of evolution implies mutation.

The complexity and variety of life on Earth and the conviction and 'belief' of many that this planet is the only one in the Universe that houses any life (either less or more advanced) is non-sensical. That nowhere else has any life. There are literally countless billions of suns, but no extraterrestrial (not of this Earth) life. Statistically, this is absolutely illogical and does not stand-up to reason. The exclusivity to Earth is significant. Life may flourish on 'Goldilocks' Earth, but it didn't start here. That predefines its beginnings elsewhere in the past. This also suggests absolutely an older, and as a consequence potentially more advanced, origin. Some find that very disquieting and so religion flourishes. The belief in an unknown entity is less worrying than accepting an alternative, and possibly the same, explanation. Any 'God' (extraterrestrial) could be benign or hostile. The assumption is that the belief in God is of a benign entity and it's the denial of 'God' by those who believe in 'God'. Very paradoxical and exquisitely bizarre.

247. Have children early if life expectancy is short or because there is a common reason why a large number of offspring will be advantageous for survival? Two sides of the same coin.

248. Knowledge advances, but this simply illustrates current understanding of events that have been happening for eons. Quantum theory is very esoteric and sophisticated, yet the system is not new. If it is correct, it only defines something that has existed forever, but has only just been discovered. Everything has always existed from the predefined beginning. Human thinking must have a beginning.

249. Evolution theory requires a long time and the Big Bang started the Universe 13.7bn years ago. These two 'facts' conspire to produce an illusion. Neither 'fact' can be verified, but only believed and accepted. Modern belief systems are no different to centuries-old dogma.

250. The Universe is relative like the understanding of light. The speed of light is thought to be constant, but relative to wherever the observer may be. Untestable theory. If travel at light speed were possible, a change in direction would effect no change in the direction or speed of light. Red- and blue-shift (only observable at considerable distance) is simply an explanation using untestable theory. Such shifts are observable and are explained by a different velocity of light to where the observer examines. But light is proposed to be travelling at constant speed relative to the observer.

251. The electromagnetic spectrum encompasses the range of energies of different wavelengths. Awareness of visible light is enabled by seeing. X-rays are not visible, yet their effect is observable. They don't have to be seen to be present. A similar scenario can be argued for Dark Matter. Effects can be felt, but are only suggestive.

252. The deliberate destruction of knowledge (Pol Pot) creates the illusion of ignorance through the paucity of evidence that demonstrates learning and intelligence. A denial of intellect. Some egos are threatened by intelligence (superior or different) of others and so destroy the threat.

253. Human vision has a small window of perception. Visible light has a very narrow band of frequencies in the electromagnetic spectrum. Infra-red is not seen, but felt. Sound is the result of disturbance of a medium that can oscillate: air, water and produces a very limited range of detection. Light is a wave of photon particles that don't require a medium and light can travel in a vacuum where sound cannot: there is nothing to be disturbed in a vacuum. Any aberration in a medium will cause distortion of a sound, but in a vacuum there is nothing to impede or affect photon movement.

257. Water is the ultimately recyclable product. It has been moving around the globe in the seas and atmosphere since it first ever appeared. It's fascinating to mentally follow a small volume (cupful) of water and imagine the journey. In the sea it will be taken all over the globe in the oceans. As it evaporates, the vapour can form clouds that ultimately precipitate their contents to regions possibly very distant from their origin (as clouds). The constituent water whatever its form (gas, liquid, solid) goes on forever. The combustion of oil and petroleum products regenerates water that originally was consumed in their formation. Water goes on forever in one form or another. Until it is locked up in concrete or cement.

258. The religious belief and scientific fact debate produces a most peculiar combination of concepts. Unverifiable belief in a God that ticks all the boxes regarding alien beings is denied existance by those who believe in a god. The increasing knowledge of the 'local' Universe even renders the description of a single space obsolete. It's understandable that a 'spiritual' connection can be made about something that isn't itself understood, but maintaining firm beliefs against this knowledge is the classic definition of a denier. Logically, the believer should become the skeptic.

259. The population is allowed to grow so that it can be divided into top (intelligent masters) and bottom (dim-witted subordinates).

260 . The hypothesis is developed from an inflexible starting point towards a conclusion that requires supportive evidence that can then be viewed as substantiating the hypothesis.

261. The speed that the human (organic) brain processes information is relatively slow when compared to digital (computer) based systems. Reaction times are not good and the faster the human desires to travel, the digital crutch is an increasingly necessary requirement. This results in the organic relying on the digital for its survival.

262. 'Shaping' the world implies massaging, sculpting and manipulation of will. In other words: control.

263. Remaining on neutral ground and not directing or interfering, but only supporting when needed, does not define a 'directive' involvement. Such leading can only skew 'destiny' towards another's beliefs. That is not the right of another. Mistakes develop wisdom by understanding the nature of failure and failure is only something that did not result in the expectation of an achievemnt that may possibly have been unrealistic. Wisdom and experience are inseparable like the brain and the body that it controls. Conscious control of self is not the same as a non-aware (involuntary) controlling influence. The body manages its own survival and in many cases in spite of conscious control that promotes harm.

264. Playing at religion is something like still examining the abacus when supercomputers have been developed. Time does not stand still. Religion remains in the past.

265. Any logic that appears to connect greater numbers of consumers and profit is terriby flawed. Obviously, the larger the consumer base the more the perceived spread of wealth. There are growing numbers with something. Something that can be taken away. The law of conservation defines the Winners And Losers scenario. Every 'Winner' must have a consquential 'Loser'. Nothing in terms of real value can be created. In figures the cost may increase, but this causes the problem of inflation. Growth requires inflation to happen. It simply masks the parasite activity. The situation where inflation outstrips pay increases illustrates the entire issue. The majority (consumer) must gradually lose as what they have decreases in value and any loss is then gained elsewhere. The real issue should focus on identifying the 'Winner' (the one who gains). The flaw is that the growth in the number of consumers is an ever-decreasing downward spiral and every 'Winner' gains consistently less and less. It may be a very gradual process, but it has a well-defined direction. The increase in the numbers of the eventual 'Loser' inexorably feeds the downward spiral. The gains continue to become less until the tipping point is reached. The maintenance of the consumer base outweighs any potential gain. It costs more to keep it all alive while the parasite continues to feed. Eventually, the food source disappears and the parasite will realise that it has nothing of real value. Nothing is left. Or what does remain is decimated and growth is backwards. The ridiculous negative inflation concept: falling upwards.

266. Fitness and fatness. Aerobic 'fitness' has to be compromised by being overweight. Fitness is the capacity for the body to deal with physical stress. Being fat imposes great stresses on the body to remain functionally inefficient and is in direct opposition to an ability to do physical work. With this attitude or belief, exercise in itself has little point unless it's purely psychological. In fact, it can be harmful. There must be a goal. A reason. Fitness happens and training in any physical discipline will result in fitness. Non-specific training will not last. There must be a reason to undergo training that results in an associated fitness. Performing 'exercise' must never be the justication for poor diet and lifestyle. This results in only one step forward for more than one concomitant step backward. Diet and lifestyle are the key factors in becoming and staying healthy. To pander to harmful beliefs is a total betrayal of any ethics.

267. A 'new' concept of action that does not involve money? A bartering trade in goodwill? Assisting someone like in the 'communal' environment (Kibbutz). No profit. No growth, but progress. Selling 'services' has created the downfall by promoting consumer (population) growth. Requirements are one thing, but creating the need for a service is artificial and usually based on profit and not need. Quite different: create the problem and provide the solution. Often that solution involves a financial angle. That is definitely not a new concept.

268. Dieters who smoke are a particular breed of peculiar individuals. All of them in denial. What's the point of desiring a healthy 'optimum weight-body' composition if continuing to smoke or using (too much) alcohol. The smoker who eats too much low quality 'food' and drinks any alcohol will enjoy a (poor) short life. Even a wealthy (in terms only of finance) individual who can 'afford' a very poor lifestyle, can never afford to live in denial. Good health cannot be bought. Only the gullible in denial could imagine such a 'dream'. Good health is relatively free. Exercise is certainly free and paying for a 'personal trainer' demands extreme caution. The mindset (psychological state) of the troubled and vulnerable individual speaks volumes.

269. It's very simple to trick the individual into perceiving somthing edible as safe by affecting the taste.

270. Focusing on the detail of the specific loses the bigger picture. The dangers of specialisation can then promote the appearance of apparent naivety, whether it's present or not.

The climate change and global warming issue is an example and the entire set of arguments produced (by only one following the next) at first appears plausible, until a more rational and challenging view is taken. The 'science' becomes highly suspect as much is shown to be specious. Pandering to ignorance (lack of knowledge) and twisting facts takes science into a very political arena.

283. Mathematics and Numbers involves human invention that describes the environment and its apparent physical characteristics. The fact that most things appear to work and some predictive occurrences also seem to be correct supports the concept of mathematics being an absolute and 'written in stone'. There are, however, some anomalies that have no known solution. The unit square has a corner-to-corner diagonal of root 2. The irrational number has no solution and theoretically has an infinite number of decimal places that progressively makes the non-solution a smaller and smaller number. The paradox is that the problem can be visualised and drawn, yet the numerical answer can never be calculated. It's a philosophical issue concerning a virtual world that has no real meaning. The question raised is "What else fails by using the accepted principles of all mathematics?" Some solutions cannot be found in the local environment so what confidence can there be in places that can only be assumed to exist?

It's very frustrating. The memory is still there, but keeps slipping away just out of reach. 'Forgetting' is not losing completely, but only temporarily. Until a possibly different trigger sets off the same thought. Actively searching mentally for that something just out of reach generally fails. When thinking about something else, the 'lost' thought can suddenly invade consciousness. It seems to re-appear from nowhere. Background 'invisible' thinking is implicated. Double-tasking. Conscious thoughts are one-at-a-time, but unconscious thinking in multiples does seem to occur.

287. The choice is between following someone else's goals or leading with your own.

Time facilitates it, but can immediate relief be forthcoming by the use of conscious thought? Time can be afforded immediacy and create distance from the present.

294. The communication of learning speeds up the transfer of informtion to others, but selfishness by failing to do this confers advantage to the selfish. Selflessness begets loss of potential advantage and selishness promotes it. Keep quiet about new knowledge to stay ahead. Talk about it and become a loser?

101. The concept of death. The functioning body is simply a method of keeping the brain in a mode for learning. To acquire information. To sift important information from irrelevant stuff. In the computer analogy, there is the OS that maintains the machine. The basal metabolic rate. A functioning, living entity. This could be compared to someone asleep. Not learning. Not acquiring information or experience. When a program is running, information is being manipulated. The quality of the information gained very much depends on the information to start with. Crap in-crap out. Good information has the potential to get better as long as it's not distorted. The computer analogy breaks down here. The same program in an identical computer will produce an identical result. It's the principle of software debugging. People are different. Experiences are unique. No two people can be equivalent. Even identical twins brought up the same way will be very different from each other. Like playing a downloaded video: if the speed of download exceeds the rate of playback reality makes sense and the video plays correctly. If the playback/download are mismatched with the download being too slow it stops to catch up. Is the playback too fast or the download too slow? Which is it? If the download speed (light) is correct, then the playback must be slowed down. Could this be detected? Otherwise if the download speed is constant then a too-fast playback will cause compression and stalling. Consider here the curved space/straight line scenario that by tunnelling would allow the mismatch to be corrected by catch-up. Whatever appears to be right produces the illusion, which becomes the limiting factor. To proceed must reject this limiting thinking.

102. It is always assumed any 'life' must be similar to Human so any 'hostile' environment will not support life - as we know it.

103. Religion and faith. Most Earth inhabitants faithfully show complete subservience to the idea of a god, but reject absolutely the concept of an alien (extraterrestrial). Would not even consider it. Some would even kill to defend the faith. Take the phrase 'defender of the faith'. Shows how (nearly)completely successful they've been in hiding their presence. They are so successful that this 'faith' in fiction and fairies leads to actual denial without reason even the possibility of extraterrestrial life per se, let alone it being already on Earth.

104. The more we focus on the minutiae, that level of detail we are in danger of missing the bigger picture. This needs careful balance.

105. Have you ever noticed that when you read a book or especially watch a film how engrossed you become. Sucked-in to a different reality. The situation becomes real. The people come alive. It is almost impossible to remain detached. Life is like this. The illusion of reality. What is real? What is imagined? Where are you? You could not perceive the truth. You would never accept it. You could not handle the truth. The actual reality. How do you imagine that the landings on the Moon could ever have been hoaxed without total control? The way religion has Mankind totally controlled? The concept of religion - what a trick! And based on reality. You accept the illusion, but reject the reality. Incredible.

106. Two ways of viewing this: life evolved as it is as a direct reaction to the environment or the environment was created to nurture life as it is designed. Both arguments can be put forward.

107. If Earth rotation is faster (shorter day) would perception of time be different? That is, it had always been different and not just a change. Would life-span be different? Would we have evolved in a shorter day?

108. The 'future' development of humankind would not be predicted, it would be seen. Existing in our future would allow looking back in time to see how things are going. No actual time delay of any real significance, just moving around/playing inside dimensions. Billions of years are literally just moments. Depends on your point of view!

109. A fact will be fact even though it may not have been discovered.

110. The brain has an inherent potential for knowledge and an ability to perform. One hundred years ago, the knowledge of Man was a great deal less than today. The average intelligence is far greater. The knowledge base is considerably more extensive, so the starting place is further forward. The human brain has not evolved much in the last 100 years. There is no upper limit to this potential. Over the last 400 years (Newton, Galileo and onwards) no change is necessary for the starting evolution, just the quality of that starting information.

111. To be is to exist. To have consciousness. What a bizarre concept is death then? To be dead. To be in a state of 'deadness'.

114. Can a child be coached to be 'brilliant' or is a child potentially bright naturally and this is then simply nurtured?

115. Opinions are started elsewhere. They are rarely those of the speaker. They are formulated by opinion leaders as in newspapers. The views of others. This is how thinking is controlled. Manipulated.

116. The human understanding when it has once adopted an opinion draws all the necessary things to support and agree with it. And though there be a greater number and weight of instances to be found on the other side, these it either neglects and despises... in order that by this great and pernicious predetermination the authority of its former conclusions may remain inviolate. The first opinion is it should never be changed. Or change opinion in the light of new information. Does not reject or ignore, but constantly reviews. Thinks differently.

117. Don't get hung up on trying to conceive sizes and distances. It is not possible to do this. You need something to compare it to in your reality. There is nothing. Forget it. Just concentrate on the isolated entity. A holistic view is only realistic when you can see the whole picture. The brain does have its limits. Conceiving stellar distances is too much for it.

118. Think of the fractal image. Homing in on one feature reveals the complexity of the original. Magnified. Start again. Magnified and on it goes. Just like the universe. Remember though that 'uni' does imply only one. This is very limited thinking.

119. Spirit installed into maturing foetus: at birth (baby human) or earlier (human foetus)? Apparent movement in womb is reflex action, not spirit consciousness. The moment of birth is the time. Stillborn baby has no spirit. Quite deliberate where and into what environment. Later, but very early death is the result of nothing to still learn. The experience in this dimension is complete.

120. We are moulded by all our experiences. Even the dreams we cannot consciously recall. The subconscious does not forget. Change in behaviour can occur without knowing the reason. Events happen that shock and are remembered. Sometimes they are 'forgotten' as the mind can block out certain painful memories. Regression therapy demonstrates this and can bring these memories back, yet we can still not consciously be aware of them, but are they regression of forgotten memories or newly created ones and believed to be truly earlier ones? Could implant beliefs this way.

121. The spirit that inhabits the body during 'life' learns a part that is fed back to the whole. Experiences of each is unique and contributes to the sum of knowledge.

122. Higher brain function (reasoning) reflects intelligence. Actions without thinking show limited intelligence.

123. All images of 'reality' are created in the brain whatever distortion to actuality may occur. There is no way to confirm that what we 'see' actually exists. It can be a total illusion and we'd not know. We couldn't detect it. It opens up many possibilities about our Universe and what is there or not. If the total human experience is a melding of individual fragments of this total, it could be that we all 'see' the same composite illusion. Space-time reality is shared.

124. The coin that holds the ethos that the child is the target in war has another side. The child to be destroyed or the child to be saved? Eugenics (selective breeding) is underway again. Depending on which bloodline survives and dies out determines the development of the species. This assumes no species change occurs. This cannot be considered as evolution. Evolution should be considered natural. Eugenics is by conscious direction.

125. Reincarnation? In the sense of a new experiment?

126. Clouds are like fat: no internal structure. No strength and will easily collapse under the smallest force.

127. Scenario: someone saves another from certain death. The one who dies is much older and has two children, one male and one female. The genes of this man will continue through his children. The young boy who was saved will have children. His genes are preserved into the next generation. It could even be possible that the offspring of each totally unconnected line comes together and have children. The one who eventually saves the world. It could simply be that through survival, the boy becomes the man who breaks through into discovering a way to save mankind. The good will triumph over selfish and unworthy beings. Biblical.

128. While 'alive' and aware of the physical self, the ego, when the loss of a limb occurs, awareness remains where the limb used to be. True spiritual existence has no awareness of a physical body. It does not exist. There can be no awareness. The 'being' is energy without recognisable form. The physical form that appears to exist in life is such that interaction with other beings happens on Earth. Legs etc are necessary for locomotion. Every facet of the complex life support system is no longer necessary for an existence off Earth.

129. The cause of intense pain is to motivate an individual to be careful. Very careful. A slight discomfort only indicates something is wrong, not that severe consequences are at stake.

130. The concept of thought. What is thought? Or an idea? Certainly not tangible like the brain that created it. Or spirituality. Telepathy.

131. At what stage does the 'spirit' enter the developing foetus. A long time before birth it enters the growing physical body to be present a birth. The genetic nature, defects or not, are already present. The spirit will inhabit this body to learn about existence in such a form to report the total experience. An experiment designed to reduce such problems. To fight the 'dark side'. Those who seek to control.

132. Look forward to release at 'death' is not the end of living, but releasing the growth of the spirit to evolving. The spirit is tied to the body during life. As the body ages the spirit grows. The body dies and the spirit is released to grow elsewhere in a future incarnation. In another world. A new template from the genome. Somewhere else in the universe. On a new stage in the one theatre of life?

133. Imagine a composite 3D image made up of two parts. Each part describes a unique perspective which fails to reveal the true image. Together something else appears. Maybe quite a different picture, which although cannot be explained in terms of the parts, still exists. Or appears to from our viewpoint. Consequently, probabilities rule over the whole domain. Probabilities are a human concept and this seems to explain many things that do not have certainty.

134. 'Spirit' located in the brain or somewhere. Not physical. Integral. Host is brain. On 'death' of host, spirit is released. Neither consciousness or awareness. Death appears to be just that until relocation. The conscious mind seems very large: the apparent imagination. It's limitless. And when free from host is reunited with the 'mother' spirit. The whole.

135. New thoughts arrive and are not prevented by conscious memory.

136. It's very irritating that 'scientists' ridicule the concept of aliens and UFOs as though scientists are the only ones that think. Scientists do not own any special rights to 'the right way' of thinking. And it's bizarre (and paradoxical) that scientific thinking is so closed-minded. Totally unscientific, in fact.

137. Perceived linear time takes the form of past, present and future. The brain is not organised like that. Or at least the perception of time. If it were a memory that originated many years ago would take a long time to reach. It is instant. Imaginings and reality have a different perception. That's all. Pain is an artefact of reality. Cannot physically feel pain by thinking about it. Such is perception. It is necessary to experience pain to 'feel' it's presence in a dream state. The instant arrival by thought at a 'past' time is the basis of travel. The brain is the key. Warping the fabric of space to instantly be elsewhere. Linear movement is the illusion of our 'reality': 3D perception.

138. The feeling during sex in becoming one. The climax to reach a common point. Unreachable, but the attempt is absolute. The fusion of two symbolic genomes. Creation of a new entity, its foundation being seeded in separateness.

139. The 'edge of the universe'. So, what's beyond that?

140. If all the things are possible to do that we speculate then it is more than just likely that another intelligence has already done them. Time travel like we use is a 'bicycle'. If advancements of the last 100 years are genuine, then over 100,000 years..?

141. Associate high frequency with lightness and heavy with bass frequencies.

142. The extension of life is the wrong angle. The body must die for the spirit to develop.

143. The similarity of thought and brain structure to travel: instant flit between thoughts that are totally unconnected. The one does not necessarily lead on to another. Illogically, it is allowed. The 3D concept of the brain is wrong. Totally wrong.

144. -e combination has many solutions and the variety is good/bad dependent on outlook.

145. Emulation of 'magic' is where the concept of illusion comes from. Occult suggests supernatural and black magic. Esoteric and mysticysm. Alien powers (human appearance is the illusion) are not possible.

146. The mental and spiritual part is created over a very long period regardless of any potential. The eventual character is not determined in an instant. Is IQ genetic? This is only one feature of intelligence. There are many abilities. Not all physical skills require great intelligence. An intelligent individual doesn't confer any particular skill.The male is still required.

147. If an equation cannot be derived does it make something not possible? If something exists then it can exist without the equation that describes it.

148. The paradox of returning to alter the future: this is explicable. Parallel universe in the same time continuum, but moving away (somewhere). If I returned to an earlier time and killed my mother before I was born how can I exist? This involves altering the outcome of events. But I exist in the future from this point. Simply an alternative pathway that didn't involve me. If I had survived there would be two of me with different histories. Co-exist and separate. No connectivity whatsoever. Spiritual or any other way. Totally separate. If the universes were to move close to each other (possible, but highly improbable) then an effect may be experienced. It could not be explained. By altering the past and influencing the future, this creates a new pathway which is seamless.

149. Sex is life, not an accessory to enjoy life. The entire life cycle begins with life. Simple fact of life.

150. Human condition imposes boundaries. Time issue again with past (start), present (continuation) and future (proposed outcome). Everything must have a beginning. It follows the logic of the limited human perception. But the clues are there if you can see them: true visualisation takes you along a conscious and logical pathway. The start, continuation and end. The conscious mind has to be involved. But paradoxically, the logical concept of time creates boundaries and is the primary constraint to thinking. Consider imagining the beginning of a memory that involves a journey. You can instantly reach the end or any part of the path. Jump there. This could be like accessing 'random access memory' on a hard drive. Spherical architecture or an instant appearance somewhere else. What enables memory to access memory in an instant? Cannot imagine outside experience like unable to conceive front and back simultaneously or the wire (Necker) cube. Two images concurrently.

151. Dreams are usually not recalled and demonstrates that non-conscious 'control' takes place in a part of the brain not accessed by the usual route. Effect is like 'poor memory'. Dreams are remembered, but not consciously. Once something happens it cannot be undone. Fragments of dreams can be visualised like normal memories and shows the connection. The whole dream cannot be recalled as in conscious control. Conscious awareness is missing. The dream memory affects the consciousness in a subconscious way just as normal memory does, but this is simply not understood for what it is. What controls? What is responsible for controlling the 'dream'? Behaviour can be affected by memories. These can be implanted by 'dreams' as though a memory is of an actual experience. It may be something that never happened, but is believed to have happened. Impossible to discriminate between reality and illusion.

152. To self decide when life should end (no physical reason) is wrong and counter the learning from experience ethic to go onwards. 'Reincarnation' of spirit into new vehicle. Demonstrates that there is a lot to learn.

153. There is no such thing as innate "human nature", only citizens internalising external moral codes: being influenced. It is also a view held by many Marxists who believe we are merely products of the ideologies of the dominant class.

154. The paradox is that learning is improved by chasing the concept of survival yet hindering it at the same time by preventing evolution. We are still trapped on prison Earth. The way ideas move forward will allow an ageing body to create a new life. The potential for the offspring to be 'infected' with faulty genes (genetically altered or simply inherited) is present. IVF (or some other unnatural form of forcing pregnancy) happens now. Potential to introduce extraterrestrial genes. Do we own them already in the genomic template and just don't know what they are?

155. The imagination is connected to understanding and the perception of 'fact'. Much of the science of space is speculated and little is proven to be fact. However, what has been accepted as reality stimulates the imagination. Occasionally, 'vision' does suggest this to be incorrect, but generally it seems to be accurate.

156. Your concept of past, present and future doesn't happen. It is all now. Your present. By moving within dimensions, the intra-dimensional or between dimensions, the inter-dimensional, I can still be in my now that is a different now for you. Your past as you would call it. To move forwards to a now that doesn't exist, your future, is not possible. If I move to a very distant past or more recent past this does define a future by returning to your now? It's all as confusing as relativity theories and light-speed travel. The effects of time for intra-dimensional movement. Time will appear to change since I can be somewhere else in the next moment of my now. A great distance change in no time. The illusion is of time slowing down where actually I have only moved my position, not travelled, a great distance in no time at all. Like walking through the doorway into a different room. A very different place with a very slight movement.

157. For whatever reason, slow and carefully considered ideas are like travelling slowly. Much more is observed that could easily be overlooked by trying to get somewhere quickly. It's just another aspect, or symptom, of the inverted pyramid.

158. Thinking in a different way, a new mindset, is similar to living in a country that has a different language. As it is learned, the new language becomes established as the 'norm'. It's conditioning in another sense and becoming used to new concepts and paradigm shifts. New thinking is then an established mentality.

159. An idea is 'liked' and becomes accepted and the liked idea is expanded and becomes more established. Eventually it becomes dogma that cannot or will not be changed. When observations don't fit, then rather than rejecting the established hypothesis that is possibly wrong, forced fitting occurs by distorting and massaging a wrong thesis to make the new observations fit. It's bad science.

160. The parallel between the computer and human (or any other animal) is an interesting one. The intelligence, sentience or consciousness is a different concept. The computer maybe capable of sophisticated action but it does not think for itself. The human could be described as a biological 'computer' to give it a label though it has sophistication that dispels any sensible parallel. Decision making is key, so there do remain common factors: senses and decision making. The program can be extended through experience. Learning. Artificial Intelligence: what is artificial about humans?

161. Some things are just accepted. Like 2+2=4. Why? How can you know if this is right? 2+2 maybe 5. In base 2 (binary) something is either on or off. Nothing else. Not more off than on or more on than off? Already you get into difficulties. Then you have base 16 (hexadecimal) and you don't even have the numbers to represent it. Use letters A, B, C, D, E and F. That is actually a better idea, but nowhere near reality. You are unable to visualise the concept of an infinite number between states. So, you can't deal with it. Theoretically, like (a2+b2...)^0.5 can work, but it cannot be visualised to conceive the reality. Think of left/right brain hemispheres. For humans this is a mixture of both with a dominance of one to a certain arbitrary amount. You consider this as quadrants so even each half has a dominant region. It doesn't matter. It is an overall dominance like the hybrid vector. Not any one exclusively, but a mixture of each to produce the composite. The concept of dimensions is similar. The concept. The human brain is not capable of this multidimensional thinking as it is. It needs adaptation.

162. Mind Maps and thinking non-sequentially/non-linearly. To think in straight lines is very restrictive. To think spherically is better and to think in more dimensional ways is non-limiting. You don't need to go from one floor to the next to reach the top of a tower block. You use a lift to go directly there without stopping at every floor. You may go by underground train to your destination. The route is immaterial as long as you get to where you want to go. Forget your concept of time and how long things take to happen. If you are moving around within and between different dimensions the idea of time becomes meaningless.

163. Religion challenges freedom of thought. So it is rejected. Can still be a decent person and in many ways an even better person to one influenced by their religion. Look at the wars, conflicts and death that result from this. You must think bigger and mentally get off your prison Earth before you can ever physically get off it. Note the quote:

164. Past life experience: it would be in your present in another dimension. You couldn't know since you live there and at that time. There is no present other than now and the past/future is relative to that now. You are in the present regardless of where you were. What about memories that are carried into the new dimension? They cannot exist in your current dimension and it is as though they never were. You would simply have no awareness of them.

165. Death is for a very long time unless you accept the possibility of reincarnation, building on your present life experiences, but in another physical (and new) body. Or maybe another life in a different dimension. Either way you will never remember earlier experiences. You may be aware by sensing something. A 'feeling' of intuition, but you can never know. Mixing experiences from different dimensions is impossible. The one cannot see the other.

166. Conscience is within the domain of consciousness itself and is a characteristic of sentience. Awareness. Humans that do not appear to possess a conscience are not in receipt of any higher mental powers. A deficiency (of something non-physical) in the brain. Science needs to identify an area responsible for every function. The overall functioning of lesser intellectual areas that do not require any thought input are easy to find. The areas that deal with more complex thoughts and decisions are less easy and some very subtle concepts like the 'guilty conscience' or 'reward' do not actually exist. They are a spin-off from other areas and not places of their own. This gives individuality and confers humanity as a characteristic.

167. Characteristic differences: good guy takes responsibility for self. The difference encapsulated between selfish and selfless.

168. Sum of individuals' knowledge is like a grain of sand on the beach. Collectively, it is the beach. The 'hive' concept is the pool of accumulated knowledge. The advent of intelligence in 'modern man' (the last 40,000 - 50,000 years) is the result of the latest genetic adaptation. 'Smart' man suddenly appeared.

169. All humans, whether consciously or even unaware of it, want to know about their being. Be it to exist on Earth specifically or more mundane questions, it still amounts to the same principle, just some deeper than others. A general unfounded and unquestioning belief in a god provides an answer and such questions for many are then rendered redundant. It is part of the human condition to at least ask the question.

170. So preoccupied with laws of the universe and arrogance denies even considering that such 'laws' cannot be described in terms of crude mathematical models. Wrong.

171. Sentience and ego are partners. The often over-inflated awareness of self.

172. Do atomic particles (protons, electrons etc) once formed exist forever? Allegedly, 13.7 billion years. Or maybe deteriorate into something else or perhaps regenerated? Possibly like a cloud vaporising or forming (condensed water). Or the water: a substance that exists forever and cannot be destroyed, except by splitting the molecule. Even then more molecules are produced and these may be the (original) source of the water. True recycling.

173. There is no such thing as a new invention. The illusion covers the fact that this is just the discovery of how to exploit some physical phenomenon. The atomic bomb utilises properties of atoms that have existed since time began. It is only the knowledge of how make a bomb that could be considered new. The exploitation of physical properties.

174. The single theory exists, but so much is wrong that the answer cannot be understood. Yet it exists. We are here, but we do not understand much. Similar about 'religion' and truth. So much is rant and attempts at control that it doesn't work or make sense. Any inconsistency immediately reveals a flaw.

175. The 'Creator' has been away and 'Satan' has prevailed in his absence. Powerful compared to 'Humans', but minor by true comparison. The return is to level the playing field and regain control. Modern man's Earth habitation has been 6000 years or so. A tiny slice of a time of Intelligence and Reason.

176. Creativity and imagination are found through compassion and selflessness, but greed and selfishness define the dark side. Good vs Evil.

177. If a feat cannot be executed by humankind, it is deemed impossible. The ego refuses to acknowledge the inadequacy of ability and just doesn't know how to perform the task. This arrogance denies many things simply because they cannot be explained. The fact that knowledge is deficient isn't even considered.

178. An image can instantly provide a message. An apparent single symbol can in 'reality' be an essay to a mind capable of understanding it. Hieroglyphs are an example. Crop circles another.

179. Models of today are still models to viualise or conceptualise an idea. Models change, but the target does not. A molecule of molecular oxygen can be considered to be diatomic, yet it has never changed. Just the way it is pictured. Models appear to work though that proves nothing. Proof is not necessary or possible as long as the model explains concepts, but it has to be realised that another idea based on the model could be very wrong or misleading as a result of an error in the model.

180. The essence of all knowledge is the transfer of accurate and undistorted information. The written and spoken word are simply the methods of communication. Imagery is created both internally and from outside influence. The objective mind can filter out disortion, but subjective behaviour can be easily subverted and corrupted.

181. The 'creation' of the Universe amounts to purely speculative and philosophical argument. It is pointless to even attempt to imagine something the mind is not capable of conceiving. The imagination only functions in a limited 3D fashion. The Necker Cube exemplifies this limitation. Seeing the front and back of an object truly simultaneously.

182. The physical body is just the device. It is not even the brain that makes a human, though it controls the device and where it goes. But something untangible... the thoughts. Electrical charge between the trillions of interconnections. What constitutes the individual?

183. If you 'know' something to be right it doesn't have to be internally argued to be a justifiable belief. If just is. It is why some individuals can act in an unconscionable way that repulses others.

184. The creative through intelligence and experience will find a way, the rest will simply take.

185. Periods of rest allow the brain time to reorganise information and discard the unimportant, which illustrates the importance of sleep-time. A slow pace of life facilitates a continual process during the hours of wakefullness and provides a more restfull period of sleep as there is less residual information to manage.

186. Some may view decency as being submissive.

187. For there to be a beginning demands that there is an end. This promotes the concept of past, present, future. Memory is a collection of non-contiguous 'nows' and progress is seen as forward and therefore improvement. Devices may become more complex and sophisticated, yet attitudes can remain unchanged in the 'past'. The cyclical nature of many things can camouflage 'change' and so disguise it as progression, but what goes around... Progress in this sense can be backward assuming linearity, but this is impossible to detect. In this way, old methods are rediscovered though without appreciating that attitudes can be unchanging. Linearity is a dangerous concept.

188. It is only this morning that I have really understood why my attitude and values have changed so much over the last 10 or so years. In many ways it has been rather subtle, but in others very dramatic. When I stopped drinking nearly 20 years ago, it was a 'day at a time'. That way of thinking is still very much with me and I feel I was preparing to manage my next task. That continues to be with me every day. I have become very spiritual, but not religious.

189. A genetic predisposition does not necessarily condemn an individual to a particular condition. A potential alcoholic cannot become one if alcohol is avoided. It's a potential only.

190. Challenging 'authority' is often viewed as a rebellious nature. It can simply be challege and non-compliance until explanation is satisfactory.

191. The mixing of science and religion. This depends on the understanding of what constitutes faith and belief. The biblical definition of God can easily be viewed as an extraterrestrial (not of this Earth). Science is simply a factual explanation based on certain accepted theories and observations. These enable accurate predictions to be made that support and reinforce theory thus strengthening supposition making it more factually credible. Science and religion can be mixed. But what defines 'religion'? God isn't a requirement though a 'belief' is necessary.

192. Any desire can be rationalised by the 'reward' of dopamine. A particular desire for one person can be repugnant to another, but the mechanism is still dependent on the same biological protocols. Being aware of such different attitudes creates more understanding, though can never excuse such behaviours.

193. The square root of 2 is not possible to quantify with an absolute solution. Irrational numbers. A solution must exist since the diagonal across a 1*1 square can be drawn. Just not quantified. This shows the inadequacies and limitations of mathematics as a descriptive procedure.

194. Mathematics like statistics can tell many stories, yet all can be distortions of truth.The concept of past, present and future is fundamental to human thinking and demonstrates its limitations. Mathematicians can 'play' with numbers to produce sophisticated arguments that are meaningless. Except to other mathematicians. It's then simple to accuse anybody challenging a new theorem of ignorance because they don't understand the 'logic' used. It's like talking in Martian. It can't be tested unless you understand Martian. But the language cannot exist and so defines just pure nonsense. And you would need to be a Martian.

195. A "gene linked to mental illness makes people more creative" exposes a belief. A definition of mental balance. That to be creative requires some amount of mental illness. This defines the attitude that the majority is always in the right, but the consensus can be deluded. The 'mentally stable' are by definition not creative.

196. The population continues to grow and land is running out as is water to sustain life. Food has its substitutes, but water is unique. Instead of spending $£billions on space exploration that in no way can benefit the entire global population, only the few who would then exploit any 'finds'having used public money to further private objectives, the water-based areas constitute70%. Ideally, creation of land that is made using NaCl and to somehow generate water. Increases in salinity could then be contained. Prison Earth has still captured the global population. Trapped on planet Earth. Movement may still be freer than within a small prison cell, but being trapped is still confinement.

197. The mixing of science and religion. This depends on the understanding of what constitutes faith and belief. The biblical definition of God can easily be viewed as an extraterrestrial (not of this Earth). Science is simply a factual explanation based on certain accepted theories and observations. These enable accurate predictions to be made that support and reinforce theory thus strengthening supposition making it more factually credible. Science and religion can be mixed.

198. Any desire can be rationalised by the 'reward' of dopamine. The particular desire for one can be repugnant to another. The mechanism is still dependent on the same biological protocols. Understanding such different attitudes becomes more understandable, though not excusing such behaviours.

1. Confidently maintain the first lie, however implausible, without change. More likely to be believed than when flitting about between various possibilities. The maintenance of a completely false, but unchanging, argument has a greater chance of being believed.

2. It's not infallible, but how common it is that the rise to the top requires the attitude of the 'bastard': the position of power over others in nearly all corporate scenarios. Rarely, decency and respect shine through. It can happen, but it's rare. The rest sell themselves to being controlled to attain a position of... control.

The illusion of 'getting on' which is, of course, actually becoming a bigger and better bastard. More effective. It cannot improve anything, but only make things worse. Always. Pathetic behaviour by 'leaders'. Bullies. The biggest bastard is always the best bully. That low life masquerading as important.

The novice is usually less subtle, but a bastard is still a bastard and on it goes both up and down the greasy pole.

3. The unbalanced game of chess: the game involves just a few power players on the board with roughly 7bn (7000m) pawns. The power play only concerns the few while the rest pay 'in blood'. Nothing new here, but more 'facts' comes 'out of the shadows' into the ever brightening spotlight.

Time is running out for the wealthy few as they run for cover and without protection. Desperation reveals itself by the ever tightening screw of surveillance and spying by government. Misappropriation of control by state security: police 'service' changes. Resources are finite, just changing hands until there's no more to move around. What happens then?

The holders of all the wealth will then start the real in-fighting. At the moment, the minority of the wealth holders watch the majority struggle as they increase their wealth. The reverse will happen. The wealth won't change hands (there is no wealth), but the upperhand will change.

4. The comment 'thinking big' is ridiculously small-minded. Thinking conceptually BIG will often receive totally negative comments about realism. This should demonstrate how small are some concepts of 'big-thinking'. Imagine the tiny Earth beside Jupiter and then against the Sun. The bright disc of the Sun is 400 times further away from the Earth yet appears to be a similar size. Quite deceiving? Yet this gives a description of size difference, but is still a conceptual problem. The difficulty many have is the limitations of their imagination. The conception and comprehension of what is really BIG.

If it cannot be conceived, it is not possible or so it would seem. But something inconceivable does not make it impossible.

5. For whatever reason, slow and carefully considered ideas are like travelling slowly. Much more is observed that could easily be overlooked by trying to get somewhere quickly. It's just another aspect, or symptom, of the inverted pyramid.

6. Thinking in a different way, a new mindset, is similar to living in a country that has a different language. As it is learned, the new language becomes established as the 'norm'. It's conditioning in another sense and becoming used to new concepts and paradigm shifts.

New thinking is then an established mentality.

7. The concept of 'switching off' simply disconnects actions and the consequences of those actions. Interference by the 'conscience' slows down progress. The brain without its right-side, or effectively complete left dominance, demonstrates how some behave. Selfishness and greed are definitions of the left-side and is the reason why left dominance makes such behaviour possible. It is quite normal for those without the balance of left and right.

8. Creativity and capitalism can never mix. The former makes something from nothing, but the latter requires something to begin with. An idea is free. It is a gift from the creative. The product from this creation may be financial and is the exploitation by the capitalist of the creative.

An actor becomes rich and famous, though on the back of the creator of the original idea. It's essentially parasitic though it takes a good actor to accurately portray the character or provide action. A kind of symbiosis. Anonymous stunt people and doubles can provide the illusion of real action, but at best play a distant fiddle to 'the name'.

9. Familiarity creates the filter that renders you 'blind'. Much like repeating a lie often enough to eventually become what is accepted as truth. Twisting or spinning reality.

The overview allows a better understanding, and hence see the pitfalls, than the tunnel vision of detail. Entrenched in detail hides the plan. Insurance companies work this principle in the rejection of claims. No single person is allowed to see the truth because of restricted vision.

10. Thinking 'outside the box' has no rules. No constraints. Total freedom of conceptual thinking. If the maths don't work, then the wrong method is being used. Newton is identified as the 'creator' of calculus and was 'invented' and used as a means to an end. The concept came first.

11. Speed reading and the shape of words. The detail of the letters isn't necessary to scrutinise. The brain subconsciously works through the picture to integrate this detail. Speed readers get as much without scanning this detail as readers who slow down the whole process by consciously examining each word. The shape is important, but the detail is not. It's like recognising a cliff for what it is without the need to study each crevice.

12. If you do not understand the science behind the advice, then you should at least try to find out more about it. Otherwise there is likely to be either denial or a blind acceptance. Both attitudes can be very dangerous.

Informed judgement will be better.

13. The illusion of earlier maturity: simply exposure to similar circumstances at different ages.

14. A high intellect and a wide range of knowledge doesn't imply good quality judgement and decision making. Either impartial or unbiased. It's the logical relationships that blend the two.

15. Chemicals to improve the mind and drugs to enable the body to respond to the brain's instruction. Distorted action-reaction system.

The mind is corrupted by the feedback from the affected body and such distorted thoughts cannot improve the physical and mental health of the organ itself.

16. What is achievement? How is success measured? Is it to be the wealthiest or the most creative or a blend of the two? Is it to be a contented parent, happy for yourself and your children? Is such happiness derived from your offsprings' achievements? And how is that measured?

Real happiness is a state of mind. Not anyone else's expectation other than your own. To satisfy your own ambition in life set by yourself without influence except from internal thoughts. If you feel content then you are content and it's absolutely nothing to do with others' expectations. There's the dilemma: with no influence other than your own.

17. The 'controversy' about Channel 4's The Great Global Warming Swindle leads to a potentially dangerous situation: the 'scientfic consensus' is the only opinion that counts. The 'correct' answer whether it's right or wrong. The whole point is that an alternative view was aired that is not the ‘approved’ version. That has to be good for balance otherwise dogma will set in. No doubt. There are a number of other factors that are rarely mentioned and in so doing amounts to a supression of the facts. Possibly deliberate.

The public should only be informed of accepted and approved dogma. Sounds like you will accept that the Earth is the centre of the universe. Or else.

Arrogance has no place in science. An opinion is just that. Based on the same information, ALL THE INFORMATION, a different interpretation of all these facts can produce a different outcome. In the same way that legal argument can be selective in reviewing only favourable 'facts'.

Ignoring or suppressing? Same thing. Creating misinformation to tell a lie. Belief systems are being created to enhance the feeling of fear and hopelessness. It's a curtain drawn over reality. It's not actually there, but only imagined. The public should be given ALL the facts. Of course, they won't be. The TRUTH would then be clearly seen and that cannot be allowed to happen.

Professor Carl Wunsch was "totally misled" allegedly into denying global warming and that humanity's CO2 was NOT to blame. This combination of concepts is designed to trap objective thinking into dogma. Connecting global warming with man's excessive CO2 production.

This totally ignores the evidence of earlier periods of global warming (and cooling) before man started to burn fossil fuels. This doesn't favour the political argument whether it's pure conservation or, more likely, based on money. Alternative views must be disclosed to the public to promote balance.

But scientists cannot be seen to have doubt. Absolute assertion can be the only approach whether it's right or wrong.

Wunsch: "It [the programme] was distorted. I'm the one who has been swindled."

Comments like that do sound more like a bruised ego talking rather than being objective.

Professor Peter Cox (University of Exeter, Climate System Dynamics) states: "I am hopeful that most of the UK public remain convinced of reality climate change."

The reality of climate change isn't at the centre of the argument, but the causes of the change. Why it is happening?

18. Never see oneself as others do and this is a reason why photos always appear strange. This is how we don't see ourselves.

19. When talking about an emotive issue, it generally becomes a subjective condition, but written argument allows a more objective view. There is more time for consideration.

"You don't like the way I objectively argue my case and that is your entire subjective objection? My method? Explain your objections, not just that you object. You must provide your reasons. Your arguments to persuade."

20. A radioactive element could be stable in a non-terrestrial (alien) environment. Unknown elements may even exist elsewhere that could never survive on Earth or the 'local' solar system. Knowledge is only what has been learned in our environment. What exists somewhere else can only be speculated and the limits of imagination are the only constraints.

An element with an atomic weight of 500 could never exist on Earth, but that doesn't mean such an element doesn't exist. Even within places of intense heat and pressure on Earth (at the core). It could never be known as accessing and releasing this element from such an environment would destroy it. Properties of compounds made using unknown elements would not necessarily need to exist on Earth to facilitate an impossible chemical reaction on Earth.

The product of such a reaction may survive on Earth, but could not be synthesised on Earth as the catalyst or enzyme doesn't exist. Couldn't exist.

21. Abortion: the growing foetus that is destroyed if allowed to live to full term and flourish after birth may have become the next 'Einstein'. Or an inventor who saves the human race or rescues the world from human activity. The child as the product of rape is objectively a mixture of DNA that wouldn't have happened by choice. Subjectively, the child is unwanted by association to the method of conception. Understandable, but the loss to the human race could be immense.

The selection of a mate simply for conception, or use of an anonymous donor, is not much adrift from physical rape except that choice, based only on subjective assessment, is involved. The perception of a suitable partner by examining a test-tube is absolutely absurd. Bad choices will always be made, but a perceived bad choice may result in a very positive outcome.

22. The human genome is similar enough across all humans to build a creature with the same basic structure. One split brain inside the head, two arms and two legs and all the other organs. But some minor errors happen that lead to major effects.

The subtle effects like different appearance have nothing to do with what can be learnt if the brain itself has no defects. This is within the realm of experience. The acquisition of information.

23. Conscience is within the domain of consciousness itself and is a characteristic of sentience. Awareness. Humans that do not appear to possess a conscience are not in receipt of higher mental powers. A deficiency (of something non-physical) in the brain.

Science needs to identify an area responsible for every function. The overall functioning of lesser intellectual areas that do not require any thought input are easy to find. The areas that deal with more complex thoughts and decisions are less easy and some very subtle concepts like the 'guilty conscience' or 'reward' do not actually exist. They are a spin-off from other areas and not places of their own. The combined effects create the 'spiritual'.

This gives individuality and confers humanity as a characteristic.

24. There is a major (misguided) assumption that the unknown universe has the same composition to the known universe. Inside the closed-box-type thinking.

25. Is it another reason fish are good swimmers in water, but humans are not because the medium is the evolution environment?

26. Short-term thinking means do it today and again tomorrow and again the next day and so on. Long-term planning is to do something just once.

29. Map of a personal World. The personal view through one's own eyes and thoughts are unique. It can never emulate or allow an appreciation of another's unique view.

31. Children are born to more mature adults. Somehow life becomes more complex as maturity sets in. Does life become more complex or does it just seem so? Or do we just make it more complicated?

Children survive alongside adults unaware of these complications of life.

32. The 'feel' of a new action can be illustrated by dental work. A crown or filling will leave biting or closing the mouth 'feel' as though the newly shaped tooth no longer fits properly. After a few days the tooth has become a better fit. The tooth is hard, yet clearly something has happened. Almost unconsciously a new muscle movement has been learned that 'feels' right. The original motion has been replaced with a modified movement that accommodates the reshaped tooth. New muscle movements have been integrated perfectly. So it is with any changes or corrections. Initially, it never 'feels' right, but becomes the new norm. Most activities are never forced like a reshaped tooth inside the mouth and are never re-learned.

33. Talent and intelligence are not linked. An artist need not be academically gifted. A mathematician doesn't need to draw.

34. The values of parents are pushed onto their children who have no concept of their meaning. These belong to others. This instills an emptiness since no origins of the value can be understood. They are inhertited and so are meaningless.

35. Achievement: do you live to make money or make money to live? Some believe that success comes from achieving wealth and is the only reason for living. Money is a man-made concept yet this provides the reason for living. The reason? Death comes after being 'successful' in learning precisely nothing. A lifetime spent doing nothing except making money, but always at someone elses expense and that is the definition of a parasite. Adds nothing to the summation of human knowledge.

36. Language must be present to internally vocalise thoughts. This transfers ideas and concepts to a part of the brain that deals with them. Language is essential. Without it, no sentience can develop.

37. A sense of awareness is necessary to be able to respect others' viewpoint. Excessively loud music can annoy those others and the perpetrator remains totally ignorant of the psychological damage being inflicted.

38. Can never be all things to all men and can realistically only attempt to affect the very local area. Those close by. This equates to thinking smaller, but much more effectively.

40. The concept of Sniffing In Stereo: some known optical isomers are detected differently by the olfactory organs. Shape creates the difference. The two nostrils are the commonly 'doubled-up' entry channels that allow access by inhaled air to these organs. The left/right discrimination happens at the sense organ and not in the route to it.

41. The concept of 'gut feeling' seems to involve a mysterious inner knowledge. It is possible that a consciously forgotten connection exists that is still recognised as a subconscious effect. The subconscious can 'know' certain material features that may have been overlooked. Some events are not originally acknowledged and so cannot be forgotten as they were never known. Some occurrences are consciously forgotten, but remain in memory as 'forgotten', though are known facts. These are the memories of 'gut feel'.

42. Has Darwin killed God? Darwin was real, but God is imaginary. The death of the image presupposes God existed.

43. Whether an individual lives to be 100 years of age before death supervenes or 10 years old, unless death prepares for some kind of higher existence, the result is the same. The actual life span would appear to be irrelevant, but the acquired number of experiences and their quality is very subjective. Is a small number of high quality experiences any better than many low quality experiences? But what constitutes a good or poor experience? Upon death there can be no awareness of that event. It is the final experience that provides no awareness. It will happen with no involvement of the expiring individual. A paradoxical description: to be dead. To exist in a state of deadness. Death of the individual without the individual being present.

44. Some would have it that getting old is like acquiring some sort of awful disease. Age with good health is the peak of human existence. Wisdom can only come with age. An old head must exist with an old body. The combination is wonderful. To be young is to be incomplete. To be old is to have experiences. Good and bad form the amalgam of the life essence.

45. Different cultures and languages have developed with similar words, concepts and themes. This defines human nature is universal. Selfishness with greed are on the other face of the coin that carries fairness and sharing.

46. Jelousy has its roots in confidence or rather the lack of it. Strong confidence engenders trust.

47. There's no such luxury as new knowledge, only rediscoverd fact.

48. The meek shall inherit the Earth: an allusion to creatures and insects. The sophisticated and sentient Man will destroy himself.

49. An unfertilised human egg cell (gamete): who or what might it have been? Where does personality come from? Is it inherent in the egg cell? Is it just a potential character that evolves as the life form evolves and develops? DNA from both parents is introduced to the egg to 'start it off'?

50. Behaviours evolve by being copied and learned. Genetic inheritance involves physical genome copying, but copied inheritance is through learning. The patterns of behaviour that bring perceived success will be copied. This can be very subtle and receive the wrong result if the blend of the approach mixture is wrong. Aggression or assertiveness will get different reactions. The subjugated will behave one way, but a free-thinker will reject pressure. Similar principle to genes working with other genes. It is a complex mix.

51. You cannot remain in the present as a thought is continued. The start of the thought is in the past and evolves into the future (the ever current present). The original thought will be completed in the future, relative to the start of the thought. The thought will evolve in time and may have a life-span of only seconds, yet it has been born in the past, it has lived and finally died in the future. All this is the evolving present.

52. Left/right evolution. Left is ruthless, greedy. Acquisition of wealth is prime objective above all else. Help none other than self. Right is compassionate. Socially elevated. Help everyone. Guardian angel ethic.

53. The brain is the organ to acknowledge pain, yet has no capability of feeling physical pain itself.

54. Do you have to be heroic to do the right thing? Take the right action. Attempt to save a drowning person if you can swim. Should a drowning person be allowed to drown because they never learned to swim?

55. An idea that cannot be conceived does not make it impossible. The definition of a problem has to be the precursor of understanding the problem. Front and back images smeared to create a composite, but meaningless even if it can be done.

56. Looking out into the universe is the same as looking inward. Simultaneously the macro and microscopic. Reduce your size relative to your surroundings and you will create your universe. Moving within electron pathways (planets). The Sun is the relative centre, but it is moving too.

57. Mathematics is the prison. To develop theory there has to be a model. If the model cannot be conceived there can be no maths. It is meaningless. A paradox. Think outside the box, but cannot refute that which cannot be proved. Does God exist?

58. A rabbit or bird can 'see' in front and behind covering more than 180 degrees. A Human sees in front over about 100 degrees and can create a 3D image as a composite, but what does the rabbit/bird actually 'see'? Two separate 2D images without depth - ie monocular. And how are they perceived? Are they independent images, one in each half of the brain (left-to-right/right-to-left?) or are they somehow formed into a composite? And what would that look like? The evolutionary tale is that the successful bird is the one with the sharpest eyesight. Genetically, this will promote good vision via the DNA trait being maintained. Owls have binocular vision. Rods are sensitive to light and cones are for colour. Humans have about 200,000 rods/sq mm, hunting birds about 1000,000. Humans about 10,000 cones/sq mm, humming birds (among smallest birds) over 120,000.

59. Spiritual/physical body. A concept to explain different dimensions and physically being trapped on Earth.

60. Einstein relatives: the idea that to build on already proven fact is a reasonable hypothesis can be shown to be wrong. An observer may see the motion of an object appearing to rotate in circular fashion about a centre point. If the distance of the object to the centre point is constant then one complete revolution will take the object back to its starting point. Not necessarily. If the object also moves away at some angle out of line with the plane, then the observer will not perceive the spiral trajectory of the object.

61. All cultures have their gods. Representations differ, but they all refer to the same source. Christian, Islam... all the same, but viewed and described differently and independently. So, no god is better than any other. They are the same. The brainwashing and mind control is so complete that faith and beliefs are unshakeable. Such beliefs that are based on nothing but... belief. People will kill and go to war for a 'simple' belief based on... nothing. It would seem that humans can be so blind. Stupid. Believing selectively anything that will supports these 'beliefs'. And rejecting for no reason anything that requires explanation that cannot be given. The need to believe. In something. Anything. God. Gold.

62. Aware of all colours at the same time. Not like the rainbow: separate pure colours, one at a time. All together. And 'feel' much more. It is a sensitivity more than simple awareness.

63. The same way indoctrination occurs for total subservience to a god. Religion. The religion is money. The sole aim in life is to amass wealth. Anyhow. If you can't make it then take it. That's how it happens. Stealth and theft. The BIG money. The so-called 'BIG players'.

64. Simply: God was a primitive solution to answer the impossible. We don't know now even basic answers. What about 2000 years ago!

65. A pyramid: the higher you go, the less there is to do and the less materials necessary to complete it.

66. Cellular life not existing without previous cellular life runs down the same road of thinking as about the origins of the universe. And the same ultimate dead-end. The Big Bang and all that. But where did the material and energy come from? Where did space come from? Back to square one. Full circle and going nowhere! Think 'outside the box'.

67. The thinking that a molecule or two can be formed from methane and... a high-energy electrical spark has inspired the mind-set to look down this avenue. Pure coincidence and an example of making the facts fit the hypothesis. Wrong place. Enough monkeys and typewriters... No. It's like building a computer starting with nothing more than a trace of solder - tin. A ridiculous notion. No amount of time could ever be enough. It could never happen, but your brightest scientific community latches onto this bizarre idea. There's little else. Any project that leads somewhere has a plan. Intellectually created with purpose. Random effects can happen, but only in very simple instances. Complex outcomes won't just... 'happen'.

68. Pure energy. Pure thought is energy. The source? Your limitation again. The way you think. The inter-conversion of one thing into another. There is no reason for this to happen. To be necessary. Think of your dynamo. It generates energy. Thought is like this through self-perpetuation. The more you think the longer you will 'live'. Not in the way you see life. It's how your thinking limits where you look.

69. Back to the idea of where life can exist. Life-forms like yours. Yes. A chance effect? No. The solar system was created to allow your physical form to develop. It was influenced by extra-terrestrials. An alien: not of this world. They need some form of physical embodiment for their plans. Ironically, the way they see their 'future' requires a physical presence. That's really strange. Backward almost. But they are still an evolving form, somewhere between human and spiritual energy. Confused and still obsessed with greed. It's how they've evolved. It's there way. It's what they are.

70. It's not easy to convey this concept: we do not want to influence a life-form to be like us. But it all threatens the space-time continuum. This multi-dimensional place we all exist in. In our own ways. We need to stabilise our environment. We have no desire to select one life-form over another to live on and another to die out. That will happen without us. Without you. Yet we cannot stand by and watch the rout of an existence. You will change given time. A lot of time. So we just want to help to extend you existence.

71. Angels only accompany those who have existed for a long while. Advanced, but not there yet. Still a lot to understand.

72. Angels become a presence at some later stage in life - the awakening. When guidance becomes evident. The Lost find their way.

73. The continuum of Time is a major problem. There is a present, so there must be a past and a future. What just happened is a past event and the consequence a future happening. Events continue in a parallel sense. The idea of a parallel universe or three or more, just a small leap in logic, but overturn all concepts. It is 'impossible' to do this.

74. The Universe as it is perceived is based on energy. Until you become part of this energy, you cannot move on. Evolve. Real advancement, not the minor changes demonstrated over millions of years. Trapped on your planet.

75. The 'past' continues. It has simply moved into a parallel dimension that can no longer be seen. But it still exists. The 'future' has already happened - you move into that dimension. It is the 'present' for where you are at that moment. That 'moment' implies a past/present/future. No. The concept of Time and Space is not right. It is fundamentally wrong.

76. Until you rethink your 'beliefs' - it's what they are - you will never reach your 'answers'. There are no answers because you're asking the wrong 'question'. Shift as in the paradigm. You cannot see how things really are unless you move your position. Think of classic illusions and how easy it is to fool the Human mind and intellect.

77. The growing use of the concept of retrospection will get you thinking in the right way. The 'past' becomes the 'present'. It's a start and is the way 'forward'.

78. That's an incredible arrogance, but you cannot be blamed for that. I understand. See it this way: it's like I am looking at a child who believes he knows it all. As a human parent you will be familiar with this concept. You understand that the child is just that: a child. And cannot actually know the things that you do. That's your logic. That you have to have an experience that creates the memory on which to go forwards. Your sense of time. Past, present and future. That's another idea and would confuse what I am trying to explain to you here.

80. Conventional wisdom is that the limitation of speed is how you can accelerate something. This has to be the reaction pushing against something or the use of gravity. Thrust is limited by the speed of the thrust. The opposite reaction can never be greater that the reaction itself. Hence your limit.

81. When and if you could ever get to where you want, how do you get knowledge back to Earth? What's the purpose? Maybe you'll be lucky and discover some item of knowledge. Something useful that begs a question, but useful to whom? And who cares? Most people struggle through life and couldn't care less about what is happening around them. It's either too complicated or so far from their realm of consciousness that it is truly of no interest.

82. The frustration you are heading for is absolute. Nowhere to go and no means of ever getting there. And for no real reason other that the search for knowledge itself. Rather pointless. And you global culture always wanting targets to be met. Progress? To where? It's still this drive towards wealth and more wealth. It won't get you anywhere.

83. Even if you could reach it you couldn't see what you're looking for. You wouldn't even recognise it for what it is. It's so simple and obvious and you can't reach or see it. Think outside the box. Have the courage to be seen as a tad mad!

84. The denial of life (murder) to chase pleasure. Abortion semantics to justify killing - 'termination'. The growing life begins at the moment of conception and the arguments rage of whether life actually begins at 24 weeks. Or 23 weeks. Or 25 weeks. Give or take a day. Just how early life can be sustained artificially while gestation continues outside the womb. This defines killing for convenience. The unknown, yet predicted, 'quality of life' decisions to justify 'termination', could result in a human race rescue mission never happening. Attitudes prevail that a non-perfect body mustn't survive regardless of the mind that may be born. Hedonism.

85. What constitutes a life? An enzyme supports life by selectively enabling systems to function properly. A virus is simply a protein (peptide) mix. A bacterium can move, but is it life?

86. Dreams: the conscious input does not happen. There is no voluntary part to the playing out of a dream. Remembered fragments do not make sense or provide continuity. Like reading every other page in a book. So much is missing that sense itself is lost. In any lengthy wakeful time before sleep, much information comes in via the senses. Unimportant information within the next few moments. Coming up to a hazard is of no further importance once the hazard has gone by. Some information is critical for survival. To be retained and learned. Dreams allow sifting all this information. To lose it or keep it.

87. Dependency: however small a dependency on a previous event it has a definite effect. The butterfly effect. This as opposed to true randomness. No dependency at all. Consider chaos theory and the Saros cycle.

88. What constitutes a planet? Liquid cores? As opposed to a rock or meteor.

89. The physical body can be made ready for the spirit. That which provides personality. The soul of character. A defect in the genome can cause an effect to the entire integral mind/body combination.

90. The brain loses something and no longer controls the body. The body dies. The brain no longer can sustain being functional and technically dies. The human is dead, but something was lost before the process of death can occur. The spirit? The soul?

91. The brain contains no pain sensitive nerves, yet headaches are felt. What are they then? What is pain?

92. The brain's subsystems look after subconscious and 'running' the body (engine). The involuntary activities. Higher functions deal with conscious, voluntary, activities. Thought. The directions given to the engine.

93. A logical 'thought' is essentially linear. Subjective 'thinking' is multidirectional. Inputs from many sources constitute such 'thinking'. It is the reason that computers can never [at today's state of advancement] mimic a human brain. It is nothing like multi-tasking. The fast switching between linear 'thoughts'. It is a hybrid effect reached by activating many sources at the same time. 2D (linear) vs 3D (spherical) architecture.

94. Life comes from life. Where did the first life-form come from? Where did matter come from as a similar argument? No answer. Just acceptance. We're here aren't we?

95. The eyes of a male or female both see the same size object at the same size. There is no difference and therefore no influence caused through the size difference. Are women's eyes smaller than those of a male?

96. Looking only in your own backyard, as it's all you can do, does not provide sufficient information to then make the irrational leap into universal fact.

97. A repeated stimulus to short term memory moves the memory to a more permanent long term memory. This applies to learning and sensitisation/habituation.

98. What is the distinction between influence and guidance?

99. Those who say "trust me" can't be trusted. Trustworthy people would not need to precede any statement with such a comment. These liars are easy to detect. The more difficult ones are those aware of this and so don't use such preparation of what comes next. They are counselled by 'experts'. The psychologists are well versed in communication.

Denial And Skepticism

Too often there is an apparent confusion between the description of denial and skepticism, but this is simply a distinction. It separates the deniers: those who refuse to review a belief even when faced with incontrovertible evidence that leads to a (possibly) different conclusion and the skeptics who are those that challenge and don't just roll over and agree with the authority of anonymous 'scientists'. Usually poor (and often cherry-picked) 'evidence' is brought out to promote a belief while ignoring 'facts' that don't fit. Insulting, nauseating and pathetic 'arguments' are bandied about in the attempt to ridicule and make a predefined conclusion.

Death threat if you dare to deny

There are always two sides to a coin and alternative explanation often exists that can challenge belief. This does not of itself refuse to accept the claims of deniers, but simply explores issues in greater depth. If the beliefs turn into more hardened fact as evidence supports the claims of deniers, the skeptics may turn into 'believers'. But only when the evidence demands it. All the evidence and not just selected supportive 'evidence'.

Sometimes this is simply an uninformed belief, though can be more sinister and involve politics and ultimately money acquisition. The amount of finances raised at the expense of taxpayers around the world regarding climate change over the last few years is incalculable, but must have reached $£trillions. And much based on very poor, weak and often wrong information and the process is completely recursive: a justification rolled out that generates more finance and paid for by the very people who are allegedly in need of (unchallenged) protection. They are not asked, but just told that they are in danger and forced to make payment through taxes and consumer goods. It's technically fraud based on a lie, though the cynical process cannot be tested. The theory is all unproven. It's the classic circular system that traps everything within it. Neatly contained within the box.

Should the announcement ever be made that an asteroid is (allegedly, but with unquestionably non-massaged evidence) on a direct collision course with Earth, the financial yield would make the climate change fiasco relatively insignificant. By definition the alleged asteroid would have to be years away on a possible intercept course, so that $trillions could be spent on the 'necessary' defence provision to void impending doom. If so, it would (almost certainly) be a fraud. It is still commonly believed that Man himself and not just his machines have actually been to the Moon. Back in the 1960s the cost was never even questioned but simply accepted. Wars are still started to sell weapons and raise finance. No war, no marketplace to peddle the wares of ordnance manufacture. Wars are the instruments which justify their existence. More recursion.

Prediction (DA): in not too many years ahead, an asteroid (Near-Earth object) will be discovered that endangers the 'home' planet. This could happen either before or after the financial systems have stabilised (they won't, of course, as the growth in population/consumers ensures). If before, the (fabricated) effect would be catastrophic, but if after then the world would be deemed to be able to afford another crisis - just BIGGER than the last one and would serve the 'top-of-the-pyramid' greed culture. Created totally from a very convenient lie. This 'asteroid' could have already be 'discovered', but only drawn onto some imaginary plan currently being prepared and just waiting to be rolled out at some time in the untestable future.

Considering the concept of death, a functioning body is simply a method of keeping the brain in a mode for learning. To acquire information. To sift important information from irrelevant stuff. In the computer analogy, there is the operating system (OS) that maintains the machine. The basal metabolic rate. A functioning, living entity. This could be compared to someone asleep. Not learning. Not acquiring information or experience. When a program is running, information is being manipulated. The quality of the information gained very much depends on the information to start with. Crap in-crap out. Good information has the potential to get better as long as it's not distorted. The computer analogy breaks down here.

The same program in an identical computer will produce an identical result. It's the principle of software debugging. People are different. Experiences are unique. Interpretation is different. No two people can be equivalent. Even identical twins brought up the same way will be very different from each other. Like re-playing a downloaded video: if the speed of download exceeds the rate of playback reality makes sense and the video plays correctly. If the playback/download are mismatched with the download being too slow it stops to catch up. Is the playback too fast or the download too slow? Which is it? If the download speed is correct, then the rate of playback must be slowed. But could this be detected? If the download speed is constant then a too-fast playback will cause stalling. Consider here the curved space/straight line scenario that tunnelling would allow the mismatch to be corrected by catch-up. Whatever appears to be right produces the illusion, which becomes the limiting factor. To proceed, this limiting thinking must be rejected.

Greed Traits

Motivation, drive and selfishness (interest only in self) of the greedy is greater than the ambition of the selfless (interest in others). The battle between commonsense and the rush to the edge of the cliff is 'driven' by this and so condemns everyone to the same fate. The Winners and Losers game is an exclusive one and the players (minority) are exposed to the risks by their own choice. The majority (of the 'players') is forced into the game with many having the belief that the right thing to do is 'play the game'.

Unfortunately, governments are among the minority players and condemn the people they are supposed to serve to the folly of their grotesquely ill-advised actions. The parasitic players-by-choice tend to have the greater influence, probably as a result of the motivation, drive and selfishness factors that create greed. A trait within the human psyche comprises these collective factors and those exposed to it's influence drag everyone else down into the same pit. It is a fortunate fact that everyone is different and exposed to a different extent. Some are the 'hardened' gambler-type that 'play' poker and such games. The stake will almost certainly, in many cases, involve those who are associated with the gambler, though only indirectly: other family members.

Paradoxically, the affected minority will destroy the majority that is not influenced. This is similar in principle to any addiction. Some remain unaffected by nicotine or alcohol possibly since they don't indulge in the habits of smoking or drinking. These 'immune' individuals could, perhaps, be influenced, though choose to avoid the habit. Fast (and reckless) driving will expose the driver (primary potential victim) to high levels of danger. The secondary victims are those involved, but without any choice.

Dilemma

Viewing the other side of the coin and the challenge to 'mainstream conditioned-thinking' has a terrible downside by enabling the potential lie to survive. To offset short-term unhappiness, the lie is maintained, but in the longer term, more damage can be done by sustaining beliefs that are very harmful. Challenging concepts that are regarded as 'untruths' can be awakening and damaging at the same time. Burying your head in the sand can be damaging as the requirement for breathable air is compromised. Argument invariably has at least two sides. It must have or else the term argument is wrong. Agreement would be more appropriate.

Truth

By challenge, a more reasoned truth is the most likely outcome. This is the basis of proceedings in a court of law. Even then, truth is often defeated as outcomes are changed where the verdict has later been judged unsafe or wrong. A prosecutor's goal is to prove guilt. Defence counsel aims to do just that: prove innocence. A judgement can only be arrived at (in theory) by considering the evidence presented in court. Nothing else. A jury can only (honestly) weigh up the evidence presented during a trial. Personal feelings should not influence decisions.

The concept of 12 men and women, good and true can only function on a law of averages. A juror's prejudices can affect the outcome. Integrity should (is expected to) win the day in an individual juror's personal battles with conscience. This can potentially fail, but on average more are assumed to win. That defines a dangerous assumption.

The dilemma is met by maintaining a damaging lie in order to prevent the emotional 'down'. But a lie is still a lie and even telling a 'white lie' mitigates against saying 'how it is'. It could be wrong, but such a belief solidly based on the interpretation of evidence that has been misrepresented by half-truths does not convert a lie into truth.

The dilemma is resolved by becoming aware. If a storm is approaching, but is still some way off and consequently unnoticed, the comforting leisure-time may be wrecked by being made aware. In the short-term, pleasure is maintained, but supporting the wrong information results in being exposed to the storm when it is too late to seek refuge. The long-term effect may result in being too far up that creek, and without a paddle, to negotiate a return to safety.

Ambition

Ambition illustrates self-interest. Achievement of personal goals at any cost, but a lack of ambition can appear to manifest itself as depressed confidence. Does a predisposition to alcohol addiction interfere with this sense of ambition? Which is the driver - alcohol addiction being the result of a lack of confidence or poor confidence giving rise to a susceptibility to alcohol addiction? In any event, is there an apparent genetic flaw, though is this actually a flaw or a strength?

It is a strength as this allows the characteristics of compassion and empathy to develop, presuming these are qualities. The route through life is affected and the learning as a result is significant. This can be far in excess of pure self-driven ambition. Confidence can grow (or be restored) in different and subtle ways. It is the things we learn in our past and present that shape the future that we can create. A lack of ambition is not suggestive of a lack of success. It simply defines a unique and potentially innovative and creative pathway. This can be interpreted as the ambitious individual being incapable of empathy and compassion, whatever may be claimed. This often manifests in reality. The empathic and compassionate individual is more likely to selflessly care about others rather than self. Those apparently lacking ambition do not crave unattained achievements. They aspire to what they regard as perceived higher ideals.

Offspring may appear physically similar with other similar characteristics, but each human is very unique and has its own spiritual being. Essentially, all human life is totally unique, but every composite being (physical with spiritual) has purpose. Spiritual never implies religious. It is not a requirement that a child be connected with the parent after birth (and then it's only with the mother), but this is the mechanism of the original existence.

Influence is provided by the one who raises the child. Influence does not need to come from the natural (biological) parent. Separation then creating new alliances can produce a better and more successful development. The influence source only is changed. True success is that of the complete being, not just the perceived financial wealth as a marker. The worth of an individual cannot be measured by material possession. Just like intelligence.

Intervention during an individual's development may seem warranted, but this could, in fact, manifest as interference. Any learning can go both ways and the one who feels the compulsion or desire to help may actually be the one to receive a learning as a benefit.

Is the dopamine reward system linked to ambition, perceived success and well-being, essentially being "addicted to ambition"?

Creationism And Evolution

It's convenient to have a very great number of years since the creation of the Universe (the very precise time frame: 13.7 billion years) as this supports the whole concept of evolution, which would become a more contentious idea if millions of years were to change into thousands. Or even less.

Precipitation

This is like politics where the viewpoint of extremes is all that is allowed to exist. Should voter belief be 51% in favour and 49% against party policy, then the arrogant political assumption is that a vote for a party implies 100% support. This represents a hijacked view, but it keeps things simple and as a consequence easier to understand. The two-sided triangle. In reality it is very likely that views are a mixture of political extremes. The hybrid view. But this would be unmanageable and so is disallowed even though it is possibly closer to reality. In a 'perfect world' wrong criminal convictions wouldn't happen. By definition any trial outcome that is ultimately overturned means an alternative argument applies. It may be an incorrect alternative, but it represents a different argument. The one that was never considered at the time. Only later.

The age of the Universe, created in literally a flash is the accepted scientific consensus and no other possibility is acceptable. Everything else is therefore, by definition, ridiculed. The closed-box mentality of science does not include alternative arguments. The Big Bang is the answer even though it is totally untestable and throws up many new questions that are unanswerable. What came before and why did it happen? But this should keep scientists and philosophers busy for a while. The concept of truth. Speculation built upon speculation. Built upon speculation. If the original assumption was incorrect (untestable) then possibly everything else (or some at the very least) is also wrong. Maybe it's not, but there would be no way of knowing.

The evolution argument is one extreme and creationism is another. Neither is provable and only a balance of debatable 'evidence' is offered as support. The creationism argument is damaged by involving beliefs and religion. There is more scientific rationale behind creationism than untestable evolution. Evolution is reasonable as a hypothesis, but that's all. The selfish gene argument also applies in the idea of the adapting genome that is specific to any species. Even this is theory since no new species has ever been 'created' from another. Breeds of dogs or cats are known, though a dog has never been known to have evolved from a cat. Or the other way around.

The 'reasonable' limit of accurate age by carbon dating is accepted as being around 60,000 years. This immediately questions how it would be possible to date fossils that contain no detectable (surviving) organic matter. Other than by assumption. Certainly, the age of any sample could not be assessed simply by looking at it and making a guess based on speculation. A sample more than (say) 10,000 years old could be any number of millions of years old. Absolutely unverifiable since there is nothing for a 'known' comparison. Just the accepted and unquestioned consensus.

Argon-Argon Dating

Dinosaurs have never been encountered so the impression of a creature is created by allusion to what has been found at a certain site. The number of bone fragments found can be reconstituted into a possible creature. Comparison with other 'breeds' or types of dinosaur may favour a particular educated guess, but it must remain unverified. Simply a best guess. Fossilised bones found at a watering hole could be the remains of hunter and hunted. There could be no possible way of knowing. A creature built from such remains would inevitably be a hybrid if no other examples were to be found and fragments could not be reliably separated. Especially if the bones were of similar size.

The number of species of dinosaur is very large, though examples of each species are not necessarily many. Assumptions must have been made by different people. The scientific consensus is highly questionable.

Motivation

The advice that follows was originally written for someone who is probably a more mature adult with young children and trying to mix family responsibilities with their own training. The sport is Taekwon-Do, the Korean martial art. Circumstances such as these are very specific though the content here could equally apply to many other circumstances.

A little guidance to keep you on course: don't look too far ahead and only focus on your next goal. Your overall objective may be the same, but leave that for the future. You must first do what is immediately next to move onwards and forwards. You may feel it necessary to put another's needs ahead of your own and so hijacking your time. Be careful. I am not suggesting everything else comes no better than second place, but a reordering of personal issues may allow you to give your own needs the respect they deserve. By all means you should set yourself high standards but you should ease up a little to lay off the pressure you may be imposing on yourself by trying to stay on an old timeline that's no longer right for you.

You should occasionally review your situation. Your goals may be much the same but the timeline may need changing. To continue at a rate simply to stay on a target set some time ago is not always a good thing. Shift the balance a little to incorporate the needs of today and not those of yesterday. What you need to do may be the same, but to remain in control some adjustments may be needed. Do not let events control you. Take time to think and focus your thoughts. What is really important? Is it getting what you want in a set time or just getting what you want - even if it takes longer? Working towards others' deadlines is sometimes difficult and it may become necessary to set your own time so allowing you to back off a little to give yourself time. What is the rush? You can be in danger of imposing unnecessary pressures upon yourself. With everything else that may need to be done it becomes unfair on yourself. Don't feel the need to rush ahead just to keep on a self-imposed time table. By being self-imposed you have the authority to change it. Use your time wisely. Give yourself time to appreciate your own wisdom and to be aware of how far you have come and what lies ahead. How close it can seem and yet so far to achieving your goal. It should be expected. If you need longer then take longer.

It is risky to assume a viewpoint without reasoning. Most of what follows is built on that theme. But first to recap:

You should review your situation to remove pressures.
Your overall objective may be the same but focus only on the next goal and deal with only one thing at a time, though not at the exclusion of other critical factors.
You must have an action plan to follow that puts your own needs on a high priority and a schedule determined by you. This way you stay in control.
You should assess your own improvement from what you do now and how you do it in the future. You against you – your own personal best. Repeat successful performances but remember distractions can work against you.

I believe in developing the whole person and that to get the best from people you cannot separate work, training, family responsibilities and all such things that we all do. It's a 24 hour period of life - everyday. Everything is connected with everything else. Important personal issues cannot be neglected just to chase a particular goal. This may be acceptable to some, but for others it’s simply not realistic. Although several strands of life maybe moving towards success and fulfillment, they are not necessarily related. Each one will affect another. You may modify one situation to fit with the others. You may alter several issues to fit in with a more immediately important one. In most cases decisions that have been made should be carried out. Later decisions are dependent on what you have decided earlier. Don't change your mind. Keep to the road. That way everything can be progressed together and each separate strand run in parallel with the others. If you constantly change your mind then you could get into an awful muddle. Of course, events can enter your life unexpectedly and throw everything into disarray, but most situations can be calmly sorted out to get back on your general course.

Are you sure you really know where you want to go? You must focus on one thing at a time since you cannot target many goals at once. Just take each immediately important event in isolation and give it your best. It becomes another piece of the jigsaw of life to be fitted later. Follow your "gut feeling". Trust in yourself. Have faith in your own abilities to get the job done. This “gut feeling“ is something that you accept or not. It is very personal.

The concept of "gut feeling" seems to involve a mysterious inner knowledge. It is possible that a consciously forgotten connection exists that is still recognised as a subconscious effect. The subconscious can appear to 'know' certain material features that may have been overlooked. Some events are not originally acknowledged and so cannot be forgotten as they were never known. Some occurrences are consciously forgotten, but remain in memory as 'forgotten', though are known facts. These are the memories of "gut feel".

I believe in it and have come to respect and trust this feeling. I cannot always explain why what I feel I "know" to be the right action. Sometimes situations defy analysis. If the subjective "gut feeling" is good then I will go with it even if, objectively, the limited available information suggests otherwise. Confidence in a decision is something that grows with experience.

Have you ever noticed how little the front wheels of a car need to turn to follow the road. To keep you on course may need also very little. Whatever you look at you will probably veer toward. Sometimes the very thing you want to avoid you will meet. The trick is to ignore any distraction, almost as if wearing blinkers. Focus on your goal and you will move toward that in the same way. It's probably true that 90% of any job can be achieved in 10% of the time, but that last 10% takes 90% of the time and that overnight success takes about 10 years. It's at times like these that it becomes more difficult to stay motivated. You should force a break every once in a while to avoid stagnation. Some activities don't have any natural breaks and we have to impose them ourselves.

Self-awareness will become more apparent and it can have an important influence on performance. You will become more self-aware and your self-critical nature will become more pronounced as training progresses. You will no longer be just doing, but noticing more of what you are doing and what you are not doing. You can be improving, but it may seem like the opposite. A break allows you to return with a better awareness of the improvement you thought you were not making. Also, you will be very much aware of the specific problems you may have and particularly what needs to be worked on. Can you identify your stressful times or those things that bother you? These are distractions you must deal with so that you can then get on with your training. It's important. It's life. Deal with the root of a problem and it will disappear. Deal with a symptom and the problem will remain to come back someday. Keep life simple. It can be. If you try to juggle too many things at once you will ultimately fail. Make a problem difficult and it will become so. Thoughts can be invasive, but only if you talk to yourself and attempt to deal with them. Let the thoughts come and go and try not to examine them. Don't try to suppress them either. This gives them a solidity they don't deserve and concentrates the mind on them. That's what you don't want to do.

Have you ever read something or been in the company of someone who has said something that didn’t seem particularly significant at the time, but which later you realise had altered your perceptions? Sometimes you know an answer or think you do without knowing why. It's curious, but how can you be sure it is the right answer? Maybe it's just a long standing thought and not necessarily even your own! When you then logically think that argument through, you may arrive at a completely different answer to the one you originally used to think. It may be that later in life your attitudes have changed or you later know something you didn't know earlier, but you never changed your automatic response. Examine your beliefs by introspection. Always be prepared to change the way you used to do this or think that. You will in many cases find you still agree with the original belief, but if you don’t then be brave and consciously change that opinion. Sometimes it needs courage to question your own beliefs.

If you find out you're wrong don't perpetuate a mistake. Sometimes we change our attitudes and the way we do things without even being aware of it. Think of the route to your goal as a road to experience that has further stops on the way. You cannot detour from this road or take a short cut but must progress onward through these stops to get to your destination. Sometimes you may well be able to go around an obstacle. If you examine the things you do then there is probably not much that you don't really want to do. Some things may not be as exciting as others, but you do still want to do them. There are most likely some things that you would never do, but I bet you do everything else because you want to. Try not to view critical comment as criticism. It's not. It's the opportunity for self-improvement. The challenge is there. If a comment is made that you don’t agree with or is not true or is unfair then ignore it. It does require honesty to self. I believe that is one of the most important things in life. Being true to oneself. If you can't do that you cannot be honest with others.

If I give a promise then I will do whatever it is that was promised. Nothing will divert me from that promise. If I feel that I cannot provide an assurance then I won't give it. This is a very simple personal code. If something is important it will wait for your attention. Some things will go away. Were they really important? Experiment. Try out various things. Practise and it‘ll get better. It's how we all develop. Do be careful that you practise good form because if you practise a mistake, all you will get is an expertise at making that error. You can be conscious of being watched and it's in the mind, but is still a distraction. If you are aware of your surroundings then you cannot give it your all as only part of you is concentrating on the immediate. Try out new ideas. Consolidate things that work. Drop things that are not possible. But are you sure? Many things you may feel unable to do, but that shouldn't be reason enough to stop trying. Nothing should deter you from getting to where you want to go. This is what you need. However, if something is not physically possible, then don't waste time trying to do it. Concentrate more on what you do well, not on what you don't do well.

It is important to use your knowledge. To teach. To advise. To guide and most importantly to be supportive. It's important to help others consolidate what they know. Old attitudes are slow to catch up with progressive ideas, but any change must be for a good reason, not just for change's sake. Question attitudes and ask why something should be done in a particular way. Think for yourself. Sometimes you may do something because you have to, though if you were asked to do something you felt was wrong would you still do it? Tell yourself that you can handle anything and use whatever it takes to stay interested. Avoid those things you don't want to do, but keep training. Many people avoid the things they do WANT because of the connections with those things they don't. Make sure of what you want and move towards it. Focus: it gives you direction and enhances your determination.

Work through what you want. Once you have identified your ideals then you can work your way carefully towards your goal. If there is anything in your way either go around it or simply remove it. Bite the bullet and state your aims. It is not always easy. It is harder to carry out a difficult decision that will give you what you want than to continue doing something else that will divert you from your purpose. Many people fail and have a miserable time because they cannot act. They don't realise how different things can be.

Do what is right not just what is easiest

It's acting maybe for the right reason but using the wrong solution. Mostly we provide our own solutions to our problems. Remember though to make sure your ladder of success is up against the right wall. You don't want to find out that when you think you've made it you've actually achieved the wrong goal.

Remember: any journey must start with the first step and success is only a journey. It is not a destination you can ever reach.

Sudoku

The principle that allows a Sudoku puzzle to be solved can be understood easily. Simply fill a 9x9 square that contains nine further subsquares each of 3x3 with the numbers 1 - > 9 without the same number appearing in the horizontal or vertical aligned with it or in the same subsquare. The logic used to solve these puzzles, however, is not so straightforward.

The inverted pyramid can be illustrated using the Sudoku principle. If a solution is faltering it is sometimes obvious, but can result in an almost 'completed' puzzle that fails literally at the last square when it is discovered that a number is not unique to the line or subsquare. Disaster. The traditional Sudoku puzzle is small enough to start again and in most cases will enable a puzzle to be solved, but only by starting again. The 'mistake' can sometimes be identified, but often this just results in shifting the problem elsewhere. A total solution remains elusive.

Clearly a large physical project cannot be dismantled so easily.

Knowledge, The Essence

The essence of all knowledge is the transfer of accurate and undistorted information. The written and spoken word are simply the methods of communication and requires honest articulation to convey the idea or concept. Conditioning of thought is often crudely attempted by distortion of accepted fact and substituting with incorrect new information disguised as 'fact'. Psychological conditioning by the use of lies. Accepted new 'fact' that is known to be wrong, but deliberately maintained. The motive is usually quite obvious if an open mind examines the premise.

Imagery is created internally and from outside influence. The objective mind can filter out distortion, but subjective behaviour can be easily subverted and corrupted.

Belief

If you intuitively 'know' something is right it doesn't have to be internally argued to be a justifiable belief. It is just accepted. This can be why some individuals can act seemingly in an unconscionable and conflicting 'out of character' way that can repulse others. Their belief is unshakable, yet possibly indefensible. Earlier knowing can be misjudged and never corrected. Continuing review of personal beliefs can result in new knowledge and understanding and what was right can suddenly become wrong.

Conflicts in thinking can be removed and a more complete and consistent psyche attained.
